Re: Feedback for the new checkout

Agree with checkout Continue button. It either needs to be removed, or entire right column needs to be grey'ed out to make an idea that something needs to done on the left. Absolutely agree with that. Users will absolutely be confused by the continue button at the bottom (often off-screen) and the ...

Re: Are people processing Authorize.net payments?

Interesting, I think my developer indicated that it wasn't "stable" but didn't indicate it was beta. I just need to migrate my server to run php8 for a pending migration to newer equipment and to avois security issues that might have related to older software versions. I'd have been fine s...

Are people processing Authorize.net payments?

I've been running OC 3.x for years using the authorize.net gateway extension with no issues but in the process of updating to a new server I needed to migrate my online store to OC4x primarily so it will be running in PHP8. After being made aware that authorize.net's payment module is no longer &quo...

Re: Odd issues with a current install - Error codes and improper success page after product updates

In checking the settings (and thank you all by the way!) max_input_vars ( 4000 ) upload_max_filesize ( 128m ) post_max_size ( 128m ) Noting that to my knowledge none of these have changed, I suppose those settings may have been adequate for v2.x but no longer adequate for 3.x? Do those sound large e...

Re: Do not use Installatron (used by GoDaddy, etc.) !!

Thank you OSWorx. Prior to using Installatron I did all manual installs and was familiar with and capable of doing so. I love that Installatron has a nice method for creating scheduled backups in case of something going wrong. When set up correctly it backs up 1x per month and 1x per week. So if the...

Odd issues with a current install - Error codes and improper success page after product updates

Earlier this year my client and I (I provide hosting and support/design) had a specialist update to bring his website for v2.x to 3.0.6. I believe the updates were completed back around August 2021. There were a couple of glitches at the time ( I don't recall exactly what) when the install first hap...

Re: Do not use Installatron (used by GoDaddy, etc.) !!

Disabling Updates? Would it be ok though to use it to install the cart and write backups but disable the automated updates and also don't run any updates through installatron (unless this bad behavior can be addressed) I'm a little spoiled to how installatron can simplify and create UI's for technic...

Re: Do not use Installatron (used by GoDaddy, etc.) !!

I definitely experienced this after Installatron ran a sub version update to 3.0.8. I was able to use Installatrons backup to revert it to 3.0.6 which appeared to solve the problem and the site ran again. My followup question then is whether the failure to run properly was simply that installatron r...

Re: AuthNetSim transaction *nearly* completes

Closure of the case. Within a few weeks of opening the case this was resolved with the assistance of Qphoria (the plugins developer) the issue had been that htaccess was redirecting the store requests incorrectly. While this did not adversely impact the cart functionality in other ways the requests ...

Re: AuthNetSim transaction *nearly* completes

Hi Straightlight, getting into this I didn't see any messages add to the error file. The most recent messages were from earlier this morning and are: 2019-05-08 10:37:49 - PHP Warning: unlink(/home/stormd6/public_html/storage/cache/cache.catalog.language.1557315433): No such file or directory in /ho...

Re: AuthNetSim transaction *nearly* completes

I feel badly because currently I already have a more detailed dialog occurring with the extensions developer but responses are delayed, which I understand but it leaves me guessing if there is something I can do to make it work or more I need to know. Its hard for me to settle as the cart doesn't co...

Re: AuthNetSim transaction *nearly* completes

Thanks Straightlight, I appreciate the feedback. That said - Submit a new pull request to GitHub? I know the basics of Git & GitHub and have even done some php and a little javascript but this seems more the area of someone developing modules as opposed to me purchasing and installing them. My &...

AuthNetSim transaction *nearly* completes

To facilitate PCI compliance and transfer the cc processing process off of my server I am switching from the AIM module to using the third party SIM module AuthNetSim. Once I get it working I should also be able to use the "Iframe" feature so the transaction looks native to the site (more ...

Re: want to modify the contact us page

My search was to Edit Content on the Contact Page - What I was seeking was a way to have an additional text message on the Contact Us page and also the success page. ??? This was easy to do once I located the correct files and techniques. I needed to create HTML Content for two text areas (one I cal...

Re: add page to header menu

I figured it out for Version 3.x (10/2018) in Admin, Design > Theme Editor > Common > menu.twig - Add items to link to in standard HTML JUST BEFORE the closing </UL> tag at the bottom of the default (and very brief) file. Worked like a charm, easy to get to.

Re: add page to header menu

I found this old thread from 2011 in 2018 and we're on 3.0.2.0, It might be great if OC can get a "Top Menu" check box for info pages but I found my simple and I think effective workaround. I'm creating Empty Categories, Selecting "Top Menu" & treating them as Information pag...

Re: Authorize.net order doesn't save as order

Hey, still on this. So this is interesting. I was logged into authorize.net and saw that the "Relay Response URL" didn't match what was in the cart. copied the URL from my opencart to Authorize.net (admin). Attempting a transaction never came back to the cart. Instead, the page that drew a...

Re: Authorize.net order doesn't save as order

New code still not writing a comment to the error log. Last error code was yesterday's date and time and result of me (intentionally) fouling the script. (adding bad characters to force it to fail) how odd is this?

Re: Authorize.net order doesn't save as order

Had an idea... The authorize.net tech had mentioned something about timestamp being off to such a degree that it failed in this manner. I'd spoken to my hosting admin who indicated the server date/time is accurate to within moments. I did notice though, with these tests, that the time on the error ...

Re: Authorize.net order doesn't save as order

UPDATE - Atfer I got back to this I realized I had the script in the wrong location - so below until next red notes are from THAT where it was producing error codes. Saw a couple of things, first that I think the error log post script may have been missing an enclosing ". $this->log->write(&qu...
