Re: Content Encoding Error

Hi,
I get the same error with OC 1.4.0 in FF (Chrome and Opera are OK) when I go to step 2 of the checkout (when I fill the Guest Checkout - Step 1 form and validate).

Does anyone have a clue about why that might happen?

Re: New OpenCart Logo

I see a few problems here: area 1: it is too crowded and messy in there. Also the logo won't work in monochrome. area 2: slogan is too small and too light, it will dissapear at smaller sizes (it's almost unreadable at 1/3 of the size of you preview already) area 3: the font is old and very boring (i...

Re: New OpenCart Logo

obiw's entry is very attractive, but I see one major show stopper here: scalability. This logo will not work at a reasonably small size. Some tweaking may be needed to make it a viable option.

coolhandnuke, thanks for the positive words :)

to be honest, I don't like the font. It is too "sci-fi from the 80s" and in my opinion doesn't really fit into the overall design of opencart and the new website.

Re: I need some advices with language installation

The included Russian pack has the same problem, the thing is that several files are located in wrong folders, they have to be moved elsewhere so they can be found.

Re: New Web Site Design

Great, a lot better and clearer than the previous one. Now opencart.com needs a new logo (I can make one if needed, I'm a graphic designer).

Can i add russian translation to svn?
Could you have a look at Webmoney? It is the most popular payment system in Ukraine and Russia and I think a lot of OpenCart merchants and users would be very glad to see its support.

Re: suggestions about the next release version

Your not going to like the next update. The next version changes the images to nolong use the image table. This means you will have to re-add all your images to products. Lots of users are going to be pissed off IMO :) By the way Daniel, is 1.x version considered as a beta or is it already robust e...

Re: special offer / sale

Yep, I second that. It is IMO one of the important functionalities of any e-shop so I was quite surprised when I didn't find it. :-\
The discounted price should be clearly visible in the catalog and the product description (something like a scored old price and a bright new price).

Re: A small coding misstake in header.tpl

Found another small error in header.tpl. The link tag to the CSS is not closed, it is <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="catalog/view/javascript/jquery/thickbox/thickbox.css"> instead of <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="catalog/view/javascript/jquery/thickbox/thickbox.css" />

Re: suggestions about the next release version

PhpBB for example have upgrade packages with every release (like the last phpBB 3.0.3 to 3.0.4 package). These are packages containing ONLY the updated files, a changelog and an automatic update install. If OpenCart would have at least a similar approach (even manual for the time being, but more det...

Re: Version

I agree, the version number should be placed somewhere in the admin. The footer is IMO the best and simpler place.

Wow! This is a Huge list! Even Asiapay is there! But still, there is one region that is not covered by this list, it is Russia and most of the ex-USSR countries like Ukraine, Belarus, etc...
