Wurde schonmal an Daniel weitergegeben 
keine Ahnung, ob er das in eine seiner nächsten Versionen einbaut... - ich für meinen Teil kann leider nur unzureichend PDF generierung mit PHP Coden... :-( und selbst wenn, nicht in dem Code-Standard, in dem OC programmiert wird.

Go to your Admin-Panel and then just set this Option to No:
Stock Checkout:
Allow customers to still checkout if the products they are ordering is not in stock.
You can find it under "admin/index.php?route=setting/setting"

Jeah! Thats a nice Option...
You just have an option to list products from one special Manufacture - but here the user could do first select a manufacturer and then a categorie.
In this case only the Porducts from the selected manufacturer in this categorie are displayed...

because opencart 1.x is completly different to opencart 0.7.x
the used framework is another.
You can Say, that opencart 1.x is another software than oc.0.7.x -> like phpBB2 and phpBB3 or such another application.
And: have a look for your CAPS-LOCK....

wie gesagt, wir arbeiten daran... leider ist es so, dass alleine eine deutsche Sprachdatei kaum etwas bringen wird, weil das Shopsystem nicht den deutschen Gesetzgebungen angepasst ist.. (wir sind hier im vergleich zur restlichen EU wohl etwas "eigen")... dementsprechend KANN es schon sein...

Die Website ist nur so unübersichtlich, weil se noch im Aufbau ist - Ist ebenso nen CMS-System wie Joomla auch ;) Das mit den "Magic Quotes GPC" kommt durch die tatsache, dass diese mit der phpVersion 6 sowieso abgeschafft werden und seid der Version 5.3 den Status "veraltet" hab...

What's about table_prefixes ( oc_ ) for the OC-Tables ?

the problem is, that if I add an adress with umlaut chars, there are stored like this one, i've posted above.
All other changes doesn't work at all... :-/
