Fraud Score from SagePay API

The MaxMind fraud score system is almost worthless. Just IP based which is insignificant when fraudsters use internet cafes, VPN's etc. SagePay uses its 3rd Man results which provide accurate data about everything relating to the card transaction. We've custom built our admin to show the score direc...

Product price fixed when editing an order.

An absolute must that needs to be considered. We've fixed the code ourselves regardless to do this! When editing an order, e.g. adding a new product/change size etc, the product price of the original order should remain at what it was at the DATE ORDERED by the customer. Prices change all the time, ...

Re: OpenCart Admin Designs

Nice to see the modern direction the design is going towards which I like a lot. Reminds me of mailchimp admin which is the neatest I've seen recently and a glimpse of the future movement towards. Regarding the design, I also prefer the menu options on top (light versions always like gmail/youtube)....

Re: Gmail - "reply-to" not working for contact form.

Hi. We do use our own @getlaidbeds.co.uk domain with such a set up through Gmail. I have it all authorised with more detail that you could expect (as our domain name is not favourable with spam filters so this needed doing). Gmail's email services are irrevocably the best out there, especially for b...

Gmail - "reply-to" not working for contact form.

If you use the contact form on Opencart and then use Gmail as your main email provider, you will know that when you press reply to email, it will bring up your company's email address in the send to field, and not the 'reply-to' email address where you actually want to send it to. This can be seen i...

Re: Adding a Blog Page - (wordpress based)

If you need this doing, then I'd suggest paying these developers to implement as it can be tricky! We encountered some issues after it was installed where plugins were not installing and so forth. The technicality involved for full implementation really needs an experienced developer unfortunately. ...

Re: OpenCart 1.5.4 Released!

Lots of a valid points here and will leave it in the hands of the hardcore developers to discuss. I however, have not really encountered many real bugs to be honest (perhaps it's because I'm not looking for them!). The bugs that are encountered are usually a fault of internal changes rather than the...

What is the Biggest or Best Online Shop Using OpenCart?

I'd love to know, and I'm sure it would inspire others, to find out who are using Opencart as their preferred shopping platform for their business? And I'm personally interested in finding which larger businesses are running OC? From an outsider or a newbie stepping in, it's difficult to understand ...

Re: Credit Notes - How do people currently trace refunds?

How exactly do you want opencart to handle refunds? you should list what you want, maybe a developer will then address it. From my point of view it would work like this. You are notified that the customer wants a refund, you email them and ask for the product to be returned (if applicable) ...........

Re: Credit Notes - How do people currently trace refunds?

For some reason Opencart seems completely incapable of dealing with refunds via the admin panel. It's one of its biggest flaws, and the usual response of "you can just do it through your payment processor" shows the naivety of a lot of the developers. There's money to be made for someone ...

Re: Credit Notes - How do people currently trace refunds?

Clearly it's just us then that thinks is a necessity. It's much easier to utilise the data in OC than doing it in external software (such as Name, Date, Total, ID, Reason, Product, etc). Sure all our accounts are done through Sage Accounts, but in order to quickly get refund totals from thousands of...

Re: Credit Notes - How do people currently trace refunds?

No worries. We'll custom write something then I guess into OC (following the invoice/sales side of things but making it negative sales and thus becoming credit notes). OC totals and reports will then align. Using an external bookkeeping system in my opinion is wasted admin time with which we like to...

Re: Credit Notes - How do people currently trace refunds?

Refunds are handled thru the payment processor, not opencart. I put a note in order history and change it's status to "refunded", but do the refund itself thru whatever payment method the customer used. Hi, sure, we also do this through sage pay which is not a problem for the customer. Ho...

Credit Notes - How do people currently trace refunds?

Is there any extensions out there that deals with 'Credit Notes' ? How do people currently go about refunding customers? Yes, OC had the product 'Return' system, but say we need to refund carriage costs, compensation etc, then I can't see how one can do this within OC itself, and from an accounting ...

Re: Credit Notes - Credit Memos

We also need a credit note system which would be nice to have within OC rather than separately. The refund system simply doesn't work for us as refunds are never fixed and is often based on compensation etc.

So, is there anything out there?

Re: Checkout - Small but Important Grammar Change

Yup, just upgraded Opencart and forgot to change this over again, and hey, we've had orders go to the wrong addresses!!!! People just don't see the text next to "step 1" it appears and get these cells mixed up very easily.

Re: Multiple Coupons: Per-Item Coupon - cart coupon

Has the above ever resurfaced?? I'm on one of the latest opencarts 1.5.3.1 and I can see that only 1 coupon can be used at once. We have multiple offers on at a time, so has anyone managed to find a solution to this issue?? Cheers.

Re: [vQmod] - Price by Options 1.5.x

This whole price by options thing could really do with a revisit and brought in to opencart effectively. It seems there's a LOT of people needing this. We can't offer proper sale prices at the moment as the sale only works off the base which is just not working for us!! :(
