The News section is doing very well and we have had a lot of feedback on that. Although mainly throug...

Re: The Illegal Aliens store (thanks again to opencart)

Unfortunately the WP and OC are separate entities it is something I thought may have been worth looking into. To be honest the easiest way would be to write the login details to both databases on signup or amendment.

Re: The Illegal Aliens store (thanks again to opencart)

Thanks burrito. The fonts are embedded using typekit ( http://typekit.com ) So far I have found it to be the easiest and most reliable way of adding web fonts. They have a good library of fonts, enough so that you can find something close to your initial design concept if not the same font. There is...

Re: The Illegal Aliens store (thanks again to opencart)

Thankyou for the comments Simon. I must admit that Opencart does seem by far one of the easiest to use. Its also quite forgiving when it comes to me getting into the code with an axe, cutting and chopping bits about to get it to do what I want. I am working on a mobile version of the shop similar to...

The Illegal Aliens store (thanks again to opencart)

I have to thank you guys again for your brilliant efforts here is another shop using you Opencart engine. I have flitted away on request from customers to try other shops or update their current system but it is just not worth the effort. The only thing I wish you did would be to have the header opt...

Re: MS Access/OO Base intergration

Yeah I have pretty much got the basics of this working. I found the database structure quite frustrating while trying to use it wit access. But then again I am sure that was the ferthest thing from Daniels mind when he isnitialy created the shop engine. Needs a lot more refining and a bit more infor...

Re: Change Varchar to Text on database?

I am using mysql, it is dynamically linked into the Access database. I have the websites database joined with the local servers database. The issue is for MS Access to read VARCHAR fields as Rich Text Format which it is not. I have done a bit of web searching and only found that TEXT/BLOB fields can...

Change Varchar to Text on database?

Is there any reason (ie will it mess up the website) if I convert a couple of the table fields to text from Varchar such as category-description:name. I am having some issues with an Access data base which ties into the site. So far I have managed to get it to connect, update and new products and cu...

Re: My latest WIP

Its quite a bland one, as it is for masonic regalia and other things like that. I have another two coming soon both for jewellery companies. So I should be able to be a bit more creative with them. The site is a train wreck in IE6. Is there a way to get opencart to load into a complete differnt temp...

My latest WIP

I have just finnisehed the bulk of the work on a website for work. I need to go through finding issues and making sure everything is ok before uploading about 1200 products that to my eyes all look the same. I know it works (well I have had a good look through) IE8, firefox 3.5, Chrome 3, Sefari 4 a...

Re: Database schema diagram?

Did this ever get answered. I have to set up a link with access at work annd it would make it so much easier.

I figured that if I can manage to set up a good link with M$ Access it could be used to update the database with products. If it works I will make the template available to everyone.

Re: add new font

If you mean a font that is outside the standard windows/mac internet standards then you are pretty much out of luck because your customers will not have that font installed on there computer. if however it is within the standard fonts you'll need to find the relevant section you need within the styl...
