Re: Friendly URLs .htaccess help

I do not understand what the vqmod is. The SEO is part of the install we're on (4.1.9.5)

If I enable SEO then we lose some of our products.

What does the command +FollowSymLinks do? You mentioned removing it.

thanks

Gill

Re: Cash on Delivery 1.4.9.5

I thought I had everything sorted but I'm having problems again. I have updated the free and weight php files under catalog/model/shipping. In my last post I asked if I needed to update the COD file as well, and I was told yes. However I have looked at all the COD files I have, and I cannot find any...

Re: Friendly URLs .htaccess help

Hi there

I did go to system-->>settings and tell it to use SEO URL's before I changed the .htaccess file, but then it throws the internal server error. I will try the next thing you suggested. Where would I find that command?

Many thanks

Gill

Re: Friendly URLs .htaccess help

Hi Cleo
Apologies, I wasn't very clear. I did rename the file to .htaccess
I have just tried it again. And then I can't login to our admin module - internal server error - so I have renamed it back to a txt file, so that everything works ok.

If anyone has any ideas that would be great.

Thanks

Gill

Re: Module names are all called 'Module'

Hi Joel. For admin/language/english/module/welcome.php there is nothing there. Once you have got to English, there is no module. On our local PC there is nothing after module, i.e. no welcome.php. I'm guessing it's something to do with this

Re: Module names are all called 'Module'

The administration is set to English. And there's no other option to choose on the drop down.

Module names are all called 'Module'

I hope someone can help. We're on v 1.4.9.5 We have noticed that when you go into Extensions, modules that all the module names are now just called 'modules'. There are 20 modules but we can no longer see what they represent. I can only guess at what they're for. The only ones I can work out are for...

Re: SEO keyword arrangement help?

When entering products there's 'meta tag keywords', meta tag description' and 'product tags' all under the General Tab.
Then on the Data tab there's 'SEO Keyword'. Do all these fields need to be completed? If not all these fields then which one is the best? Is it just the SEO field?
Cheers
Gill

Re: SEO keyword arrangement help?

Hi there I've read these submissions with avid interest. One thing I've picked up, and I've heard/seen a few times is that meta tags are not in favour anymore. With this in mind does it not make any difference then if you don't put anything in the meta tag keyword and meta tag description fields in ...
