Re: OpenCart v1.3.0

Thanks. I was able to get the images to work by typing the image name after sorting by the product_id. That saved some time. The options I wanted most I was able to transfer too by using Excel, PSPad, and the SQL info and working with it as a csv file. Took some time and coordination with the produc...

It was the value of the currency . . . not set at 1.00 but at the default. Thanks!

Low Order calculation problem?

I'm trying to use the low order extension. I have it set to Order Total: 20 Fee: 5 I thought that meant everything $20.00 and below would be charged $5.00. Instead, what I'm getting is this: The Sub-Order Total is $25.74 Low Order Fee: $8.17 Not only is it ignoring the $20.00 limit, it is calculatin...

Re: OpenCart v1.3.0

Is there any way to convert the 0.7.9 database to work with 1.3.0? I've figured much of it out via sql but am having issues with the Product Options and Images.

Re: OpenCart v1.3.0

Why jo make every thing so hard ? if the install dident haev the prefix you whant remove it and the database and do it again ? it takes like 5 minutes MAX i think like 3 :D Because changing the database in the config.php gave me the same problems as the manual updating did with the IMPORT function....

Re: OpenCart v1.3.0

Here is an update. Using SimpleScripts, deleting the files and folders, deleting and reinstalling 1.3.0 I finally got it to work. Unfortunately, the new installation had the prefix opc_ which my original database did not. I tried switching to the old database but that didn't work. Ultimately, I spen...

Re: OpenCart v1.3.0

The problem does not lie with my ability to edit php code or to follow the instructions on how to upgrade or install. There is something else and my best guess is that something else arose with changes you made in the code. Whether it is a change or changes that are peculiar to my service with Hostm...

Re: OpenCart v1.3.0

The myriad of problems I've experienced with updating this program continue to exist. For example, the Latest Products still shows the name of the iPods and other demo products which I don't want or need and cannot find even by doing a search of the entire SQL database so I can't even delete them. I...

Re: Upgrade Process

In order to get rid of all the ipod etc. junk you MUST either create a NEW database or delete the old one, recreate it, then import your backup into which ever one you did. That gets rid of the junk in the Latest Products window and gets it back to normal. HOWEVER, I still have all of the other prob...

Re: Upgrade Process

I've reinstalled from scratch and all the same problems still exist. Only this time I can't get rid of the ipod crap in the Latest Products. I dropped all the tables in my db then imported my old db and they are still there. Last time deleting the /install directory got rid of them. It's gone but th...

Re: Upgrade Process

I did #5. I re-entered all the database info as if it were a new install. The only exception that I made at all was that I didn't delete the /images directory (why recopy everything???) and instead deleted all the images in the upload/images directory. I did try to run the website and forgot to dele...

Re: Upgrade Process

I noticed the 1.2.9 text says 1.2.8 > 1.2.9 To Upgrade: 1. First off backup your site. 2. Download a backup of your database. 3. Delete the files in your hosting directory 4. Upload the files from the download. 5. Go through the install as normal. 6. Once the install is finished import the database ...

Re: Restore data from prior version failed

There is no upgrade.php in 1.2.9. The complete upgrade.txt file reads: 1.2.8 > 1.2.9 To Upgrade: 1. First off backup your site. 2. Download a backup of your database. 3. Delete the files in your hosting directory 4. Upload the files from the download. 5. Go through the install as normal. 6. Once the...

Re: Duplicate entry '25' for key 1

Creating a new database and doing a new install seems to be the only way around this. You can import your sql data from the backup you make. If it gives you any "duplicate" import errors, just Drop all the existing tables before trying to import again. Even this is not a perfect fix. I sti...

Re: Upgrading from 1.2.7 to 1.2.8

Apparently you do have to create a new database then do a new install and recopy your sql data into it.

Re: Duplicate entry '25' for key 1

I have given up and reverted to 1.2.6. Simply by copying the files back it worked flawlessly. Every time I see a new version of OC posted I fear the update because it is always a problem and wastes many hours of my time. There has to be a better way to update.

Re: Duplicate entry '25' for key 1

I have received this error too (Hostmonster). I have no duplicate entries and even removed the section and others but it still gave me the error. Finally, I dropped all the tables in the opc02 database and ran the opencart.sql through PHPAdmin, then it worked. I imported my backed up .sql and the in...

I'm not trying to. I haven't altered any of the files. This is just what happens when I hit the Checkout button. I deleted the entire directory before uploading the new files.
