4.x is still buggy and needs a lot more fixes

I would suggest using OC 3.0.3.7 as 4.0.0.0 is currently not ready for production.
There are many themes for OC 3.x - I have moved/duplicated this post to the OC 3 forum section

If a multistore is added, even though the SEO URLs are added for links and they work, the URLs are appended with the "?route=some/controller/method/args"
e.g. domain.com/some-product-seo-keyword?route=product/product&language=en-gb
