Re: How to add EAN to order invoice

The easiest solution would be to create a new method in that model file, something like public function getEan($product_id) { $ean_query = $this->db->query("SELECT `ean` FROM `" . DB_PREFIX . "product` WHERE `product_id` = '". (int)$product_id . "'"); return $ean_query->row['ean']; } Then in the cod...

Re: Unable to back up

OpenCart's backup tool is pretty useless to be honest.

Better to use a backup option offered by your host.

But if you want to find out why OC's backup is failing, you should check your server logs for the real error message behind that 500 internal server error.

Re: CSS hide add to cart for featured prods

Why not just edit the featured template file and remove it there rather than masking / hiding it?

Re: Reliability of the built in Backup / Restore menu in Admin

IF your host offers a backup solution, you would do better to use that.

If you have Shell / Root access. you could use any number of backup solutions such as: automysqlbackup and couple that with Amazon S3 to do father son backups or similar.

Re: [URL Issue] Page not found when access by www.domain.com

You can add the following to your .htaccess file

DirectoryIndex index.html index.php

There may be an option to set which files are your default index files in your hosting control panel.

Seems strange that index.php is not set by default though.

Re: SEO URL in SUBDOMAIN HELP

I see what you mean. Unfortunately, I do not know the answer as to why this is happening. I can see your footer links are working for 'About us' page I'm afraid you will need to employ the services of an OpenCart developer, either via the Commercial Support forum, Dedicated Support or OpenCart Partn...

Re: .htaccess site speed - help

Depends on your host. If you are using Shared Hosting, most likely they will not enable Keep Alive

You can try the following, but if it does not work, you should contact your host

<ifModule mod_headers.c> Header set Connection keep-alive </ifModule>

Re: SEO URL in SUBDOMAIN HELP

Does the parent category of Pens have a SEO URL (Keyword) assigned to it ? You should make sure all categories, products, info pages and manufacturers have unique SEO Keywords assigned to them. There are probably free extensions that will auto populate those for you if you don’t wish to do them all ...

Re: SEO URL in SUBDOMAIN HELP

Of course it does, it passes the SEO Keywords to index.php via a $route variable.

To the OP, your .htaccess file looks to be correct if your domain/subdomain is pointing to the folder where opencart is installed.

Are you by any chance running a different web server than Apache, such as NGinX ?

Re: mail.domain.com URL Issue

On the second one, I would probably change that one as the mail.… subdomain would bypass it anyway. Instead of RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example\.com$ [NC] RewriteRule (.*) https://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] put: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.example\.com$ [NC] R...

Re: mail.domain.com URL Issue

Is your server running on NGinX or Apache (or similar eg lightspeed) ? Also, surely if Plesk is set to force www, then the URL should never show mail.domain.com, so must be a misconfiguration somewhere. With regards to the site not being secure message, you most likely have not got a certificate to ...
