Re: Official release roadmap anywhere near php8.x compatibility?

Perhaps this is a good time to do an OC 3.0.3.9-ce (Community Edition) ? Or for Daniel to let leading developers have access to the opencart-3 repository for processing merges of pull requests. It would definitely be good to have a concrete decision on the future of OC3. I'm sure OC4 is great but c...

Re: Official release roadmap anywhere near php8.x compatibility?

Which of "opencart-3" and "3.0.x.x_Maintenance" should I be using? Just did a very quick diff and "opencart-3" looks tidier in that there's typecasting, backticks in queries and so on, and I can see there are a bunch of pull requests on "3.0.x.x_Maintenance" f...

Refresh the demo data on opencart.com?

I just had a look at the demo ( https://demo.opencart.com/ ) so that I could find something out quickly without having to set up a local install, but couldn't find an in-stock product to add to my basket/have a look at the checkout with. It was the same when I tried the other day. It might just be m...

Re: SEO keyword already in use!

Sorry for thread necromancy but just ran into what might be the same issue in OC3 . After creating an SEO URL in the admin panel, I couldn't then edit its query without being told that the keyword was a duplicate. The attached mod makes a couple of small edits to the validation function so that it'l...

Re: Getting error when i press clear button on modifications

Just looked at admin/controller/marketplace/install.php again and you are right/I am wrong - I had gotten mixed up and been thinking of the restriction on where files from extensions can be copied to.

Re: Getting error when i press clear button on modifications

"system/engine" isn't on the list of file paths that are allowed to edited by mods/extensions. You'll have to install a mod to add it to the list if you need whatever feature the failing mod is trying to add. On a test server, you could try disabling all of your mods/extensions, then refr...

Re: Keeping 3.0.3.1 up to date

most leave the Scene again, like you, after getting, what they are looking for. I wish that had been the reason, it was more one of life getting in the way :) It seems like I'll be able to find most stuff by comparing 3.0.3.1 to maintenance , but not everything. For example, it doesn't have this (w...

Re: Opencart items in cart disappear in a daft manner

If you want to change the behaviour (so it deletes the whole cart instead of one item at a time) then you'll need to group the delete by the session_id with something like: DELETE oc_cart FROM oc_cart JOIN ( SELECT session_id FROM oc_cart WHERE (api_id > '0' OR customer_id = '0') GROUP BY session_id...

Re: Internal Server Error when attempting to install an Extension

Whatever's gone wrong might only appear in the server's logs rather than OpenCart's.

If you look at whatever system you use to manage your hosting, there should be error logs for Apache and PHP.

Keeping 3.0.3.1 up to date

Coming back to OC after a long break (since 1.5 - it's nice to see so many old usernames still here :) ) and thinking about running the latest version (3.0.3.1) so have a couple of OC3 noob questions. 1. Is it safe to use 3.0.3.1 in production, or is there some older version or fork that everyone pr...

Re: Unable to Install 3.0.3.1

What does it say in your php and/or apache error log? There should be a clue there.

Confirm deletion of 'welcome' module items (1.5.6.4)

It's happened to me a few times now, I've clumsily clicked the 'remove' button on an item in the 'welcome' module and had to cancel away from the page to avoid losing whatever I'd accidentally deleted. This mod adds a confirmation dialog before a 'welcome' module item is deleted. <modification> <id>...

Re: Is there software to translate vqmod to written instruct

Needed to browse through a bunch of vqmods looking for a conflict, so have revisited this. It's still ugly/unpolished - and only works in the latest Firefox (that's all I needed), but now has drag-and-drop and syntax highlighting. Usage: 1. Unzip the attached files to your "vqmod/xml" fold...

Maybe it's like the Roisin Murphy vs Lady Gaga thing - the Perl cart got there first, but the PHP one got famous :)

If you haven't found it already, look for ".breadcrumb" in stylesheet.css - the separator is defined there.

Re: storing orders in database

Just an idea that another poster may apply thought to (and possibly then dismiss as a bad idea :) ): If you need to process/view data from a single store as if it was from two stores - maybe you could hack something that allocated the completed order to another store (you can have multiple stores on...

Re: 2.0 Official has been released!

I can't post or reply in 2.0's Template Support forum (wanted to tell this guy to look for ".breadcrumb" in stylesheet.css:
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=182&t=132000) - Is access limited there/is there something special about that forum's permissions?
