Re: [1.5.0] How to change index.php?route to seo friendly ur

For the very reasons above, it's to improve performance and consistency. I don't really see the big deal personally that they have a few numbers in it too. You still get all of your keywords in the url. As for what you want mfive, that is actually how opencart works by default, the only difference b...

Re: [1.5.0] How to change index.php?route to seo friendly ur

Yeah, its not ideal, but does have some benefits. For example, should a product/category name be changed for whatever reason, old URL's will still work regardless of the changes, where as with opencart's default method it wouldn't. It also means there's no chance of duplicate URL's accidentally bein...

Re: [1.5.0] How to change index.php?route to seo friendly ur

I've actually been working on an automatic url rewriter for 1.5. You can see the demo here - SNIPPED - You can change pretty much any route to a different one, such as information/contact to just contact, so that it reads http://yoursite.com/contact Notice that all of the category, product and infor...

Re: HUGE White Space with only IE

The problem will be due to the css of the container. IE is notorious with having bugs relating to the box model. Make sure you explicitly set the width, padding and margin of the whole container for it

Re: Add item to cart but doesn't show till page refresh

Can't replicate your issue, it works just fine for me (using chrome). What browser are you using? If you are having trouble, it will be the theme at fault, since as you say it's not a recent bug (at least not with the default theme)

Re: Server migration issues

Sounds like your old hosting had errors hidden for php. If you go to /home/siahora/public_html/catalog/language/spanish/account/login.php
At the very top, there should be <?php
delete EVERYTHING before the < and save
That should fix it

Re: SEO Urls

A standard .htaccess file is provided (named .htaccess.txt). You just need to rename it to .htaccess and it will allow you to turn on seo urls in your SYSTEM > SETTINGS

Re: SEO Keyword

Fair enough. I've just never seen any considerable "weight" carried from keywords as they've been abused so much in the past. Content, titles and meta descriptions seem to be the biggest factors on sites these days, along with strong backlinks from reputable sites. I'm no SEO expert though, that's j...

Re: SEO Keyword

Hi Daz There are two "keyword" fields. The SEO keyword is for the URL's ONLY (unless your theme has integrated them for some reason but its unlikely). They should be single words separated with hyphens or underscores really (spaces are not recommended) The other is your meta keywords. Nowadays searc...

Re: SSL cert and using https breaks Pretty URLS... help!

In this line
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ https://www.domain.com/? [R=301,L]
you shouldn't have the ? after the domain name for a start

This line
RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI}
Will likely be the culprit, as it needs to have [R=301,L] after it so that it redirects correctly

Re: Problem Products

Well it is and it isn't. The headers sent message only come up because of the initial error message. It wouldn't appear if the stock status id error wasn't happening, so it's the stock status that is at fault

Re: Problem Products

So you added them one at a time via the normal method? and you still get that problem? If so, it sounds like you've deleted the order status associated with the products

Re: Does Opencart 1.4.9.4 have the these features ?

Well I can't give you the absolute right option to choose to be honest. Personally I'd just use the 1.5 RC and apply patches as they are done so that you don't have any issues. 1.4.9.4 really doesn't seem like the right choice to me though if you need all those features
