Re: Error: '$' is undefined - in IE only

Holy Dead Topic, Batman!

This thread is approaching it's second birthday!

Anyway - we binned the client, and haven't had reason to use OpenCart ever since.

Validating option values

Using OpenCart 1.4.9.4 I have a product with an option, where the user can enter a number - this being the amount they want to donate. If the user enters just a number, all is good; but if they put a $ sign in there, the value doesn't get added to the shopping cart array. Tried working in shop/catal...

Re: Order total changes depending on payment method

I'm in the same boat. Client called today, and told me that the system is adding up totals incorrectly. She's not happy, and I'm getting flak for recommending an e-commerce system that doesn't work. Yes, it's just out by 1c; but that's a big deal where accounting is involved. It adds up, and makes i...

Re: Error: '$' is undefined - in IE only

That was part of it - thanks!

Everything sorted now. I was making things too complicated; once I went back to first principles everything appears to be working.

Pete.

Re: Error: '$' is undefined - in IE only

The config.php file in catalog doesn't have the sections for http and https - is that correct? Where can I find a comprehensive guide to configuring OpenCart to run with SSL? There seems to be bits and pieces all over this forum - some out of date - and I haven't been able to find system documentati...

Re: Error: '$' is undefined - in IE only

The first page of the shopping cart - http://www.greyhoundgang.org/shop/ is not secure, but every link from that page points to a secure page.

...just in case that's a clue as to what I've done wrong?

Re: Error: '$' is undefined - in IE only

No reason at all, except that I've probably forgotten the settings I need. My admin/config.php is as follows; // HTTP define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.greyhoundgang.org/shop/admin/'); define('HTTP_CATALOG', 'http://www.greyhoundgang.org/shop/'); define('HTTP_IMAGE', 'http://www.greyhoundgang.org/sh...

Error: '$' is undefined - in IE only

I've just set up a new OpenCart store at http://www.greyhoundgang.org/shop/ (version 1.4.9.4). The front page displays fine, but when I click on any product in Internet Explorer, I get an error Line: 145 Error: '$' is undefined But - it works perfectly fine in Firefox, and Firebug doesn't give any o...

Update Order History - Not updating immediately

Whenever I create a new item in the Order History screen, and click Add Order History, the system accepts my input, but doesn't refresh the screen. If I go away and come back to the order history tab (or press F5, which takes me to the main order details tab for that order), the new information is d...

Re: [1.4.9] Remove extraneous checkout pages?

Tried it - doesn't seem to work (Checkout hasn't changed at all). I may have an installation issue or something equally simple, so I'll raise another thread.

Thanks for the clues, though!

[1.4.9] Remove extraneous checkout pages?

Is there any way to remove extraneous checkout pages?

For example, on my cart checkout/shipping and checkout/payment could be merged into one - we don't need comments.

Is this easy, or a major rewrite?

Regards,

Pete.

Where do variables in templates come from?

I'm trying to add some mods to the product page. Everything is working, except that I can't find where the variables are given their values from the table. To try to diagnose this, I looked for $sku, which is used in product_form.tpl. I can see it being used in that file, but I can't see where it ge...

Re: Overriding product price

OK - found it. In version 1.4.9.4, look in system/library/cart.php The prices are calculated in the $product_data array. Search for $product_data[$key] = array( , and add the following code before it; if (isset($txtoption_data[1]['name']) && (stristr($txtoption_data[1]['name'],"($)"))) { // We have ...

Re: New Installation, USPS Shipping NOT Working

Try setting the dimensions to 1 x 1 x 1 in Extensions->Shipping->USPS

That will ensure you get *figures* back, but won't guarantee that they're correct unless you use a simple basic package.

HTH

Shipping Override

Hi,

I have USPS shipping working correctly on my site, but the client wants to have a minimum shipping value of $6 per order, plus the ability to change the shipping charge before she processes the order in the back end.

Is there anything in OpenCart that can handle this?

Thanks in advance.

Pete.

Re: Accepting Donations - Allowing customers to set the pric

Is there a version which works with 1.4.9.4?

I tried Sparkybarkalot's version, and get an error on system/library/cart.php, as there is no value in $optdata[1] (I may have the product set up incorrectly, of course.. )

Any clues?

Thanks.
