Re: Pricing & Cart restricted to a group

chrisnz wrote:Thanks for the reply, that's really helpful.
I was hoping there was a solution that also removed the 'Add to cart' button unless you are logged in. Unless I'm missing something?
That's been asked and answered before. Do a quick http://forum.opencart.com/search.php

Specify Canonical URL for category pages

Hi, I would like to specify the canonical url for category pages, can this be done? The problem I'm facing is if I Google "mysite Candies" I will get mysite.com/candies whereas candies is actually a subcategory of lets say "sweets", therefore it would be appropriate if google uses "mysite.com/sweets...

Re: [Solved] If category id in Product Page

I did a little digging based on your answer SelfMan, certainly is better with arrays. Thanks again :)

Code: Select all

<?php if (in_array($this->request->get['product_id'], array (74,73,65))) { ?>
Yes
<?php } else { ?>
No
<?php } ?>

Re: If category id in Product Page

I solved it by using product_id instead of category_id, and so far it's working great. My main purpose was to modify products in a certain category but doing it this way works regardless of the URL so I don't mind specifying each product I want changed. One file needs to be modified: product.tpl <?p...

Re: If category id in Product Page

It works, Thanks. There is however an undefined variable notice at the top of the page unless you're in a category. So say if I go to the product directly from the home page, I would see that error. xD The code I used for the tpl is: <?php if (isset($category_id) && $category_id == '999') { ?> Yes <...

Re: If category id in Product Page

The text appears regardless of the category I'm in.

Note: I removed one parenthesis from the code above.

[Solved] Too many queries running

Hi, I have noticed that my site slows down quite a bit sometimes. I have over 4,000 products but this was not a problem on earlier version of OC. Anyway, I disabled category count from the Admin backend and also from the module itself. I even disabled the category module from all pages and it did no...

Always show categories on Product page

When you find a product by navigating through the categories, it will show such categories on top of the product page so you can quickly navigate back to those categories easily by clicking the corresponding category/subcategory link above the product name on the product page (and module) unless of ...

Re: Import/Export module unable to export

Seems to be a problem with it not being updated to the newer opencart releases, you'd probably have to use it on a older opencart version or wait until he updates it and since it is free, it might take a while. I'm still able to import even though I get an error afterwards. Use the built in backup/r...

Re: Product Compare - font formatting on Summary

Hello, thanks for your kind reply. I'm sorry when I said space, I meant line breaks <br /> and other html elements but I understand why it was done this way, some people would use large fonts for titles on their product description and it would not look good here. I just happen to have a lot of prod...

Product Compare - font formatting on Summary

Hello, I have noticed that products added to the comparison list keep the text where it say "summary" but it does not preserve any formatting done to it, like spaces or font changes. Is there a simple way to make it preserve the same formatting as shown on the product page? Thanks very much :) I'm u...

Re: Delay when many products added

X.. I removed the category module and the site went back to a normal speed. I tried manually altering the category.php files (module/category.php, product/category.php) and it removed the product count from all categories but did not help speed things up, yet I'm aware it did help other people. Than...

Delay when many products added

I have about 10k products and the website loads every page very slowly. I have the same amount of products on a 1.4 install and it seems to be fine. I used the free import/export module to import all the products and categories. So my question is has anyone else with many products noticed any major ...

Re: OpenCart 1.5.1.3 Bug Thread

Nevermind about the last 2 posts, this is fixed on the newer version. I was using .2 and it seems the demo has not been updated yet. The product search on admin > products still won't show results unless you look up the first word though.

Re: OpenCart 1.5.1.3 Bug Thread

I did another search to find if this was fixed but got too many results and I don't feel like going through them. :joker: Admin > Catalog > Products ... it seems to only return any "visible" results when the keyword matches the first word of the product name, if it matches anything else it will not ...

Re: OpenCart 1.5.1.3 Bug Thread

Add button on Modules > Carousel doesn't add the correct fields, I used the famous "Search" and found a topic on this but the issue is still present on current version of OC which was released after this topic was started.
