Re: Hackers attack on SQL

no need to do anything for this, people or bots are just looking for those files on your system and will receive a 404 if they do not exist. you can set htaccess so that the webserver gives a 404 directly on these file extensions you do not have and these requests are not send to PHP via the index s...

Re: Thumbnails not square...

right and OC has to determine how to resize the original image at some point. There are only a few alternatives: 1) use fixed widths and heights as currently implemented via admin theme settings - will create white space (top/bottom or left/right) if aspect ratios of the original images differ from ...

Re: Missing items from the shoping cart

personally I use this but I use files as session storage. $cart_guest_expire_query = $this->db->query("SELECT cart_id,session_id,product_id FROM " . DB_PREFIX . "cart WHERE (api_id > '0' OR customer_id = '0')"); foreach ($cart_guest_expire_query->rows as $cart) { if (!is_file(DIR_SESSION.'sess_'.$ca...

I think $this->log->write may give an error as that class is not yet constructed, better use error_log.

Re: Missing items from the shoping cart

You would have to trace it. 1) if it happens, first check if the items are really deleted by checking the DB directly to see if it is a session problem. 2) log the explicit deletions so that if it happens you can check the log to see if it they were deleted this way. You can do this by replacing: //...

Re: Thumbnails not square...

Function resize in class image in system/library/image.php basically creates a new image with the requested dimensions, as given in the admin settings, with a white background and copies the resized image onto that. You can ignore the admin settings and use the original width/height ratio's but you ...

Re: Missing items from the shoping cart

why is it not considered to remove cart items when the guest sessions have expired instead of after an hour from insertion? That way, while the user remains active, the items in the cart remain and are only removed (and all of them at once, not one by one) when the session is gone (either from the s...

Re: Missing items from the shoping cart

that might be but that is default an hour holding for each individual cart item of a guest. I can see this by the results in google analytics when someone is on the cart page and later on is just leaving the page. while this does not say much, I doubt the user spends an hour looking at the cart wait...

Re: Missing items from the shoping cart

Disappearing cart items is not the same as not being able to add cart items.

(besides, the INTO part of INSERT INTO is optional in many SQL implementations so it might still work for them)

Of course better to add "INTO" for consistency but I doubt if this is the root cause here.
