Re: Customer Service Tab

Thanks! Is this done through the FTP? (don't laugh) I'm a complete technophobe I can use the back office (just about) but anything other than that and I get stuck! Thanks, Ben Yes, you would edit the files that were mentioned through an FTP client or directly in your cPanel's file manager. It's qui...

Re: OpenCart 1.5.1.3 Released

If OC 1.5.2 isn't going to be released before the New Year, can we at least get a 1.5.1.4 version with all the latest bug fixes? I've been slacking off and haven't been updating the bug fixes as they've come out, and now I can't remember where I left off. :-\

Re: OpenCart 1.5.1.3 Released

does anyone think its acceptable to have new orders created by using the login function under the admin customer page and manually making the order that way? So basically the same way it works now? The only thing I don't like about this method is that it doesn't capture certain details that could h...

Re: [vQmod] Weight Based Shipping Sort by Price OC 1.5.1.1

And a great contribution it is Johnathan.

I turned it into a vQmod for my store just for weight based shipping, but as you mention it can be used for all the shipping methods. I just didn't want to fiddle with all the other shipping methods since i'm only using the weight based one. :)

[vQmod] Weight Based Shipping Sort by Price OC 1.5.1.1

If you have weight based shipping enabled, and you have say three Geo Zones set up (ex. USA Regular Mail, USA Priority Mail, USA Express Mail), this vQmod will sort them by price (from lowest to highest). Weight based shipping sorts alphabetically by default, which can sometimes make the most expens...

[vQmod] Banner Images Sort Order Fix OC 1.5.1.1

Banner images will not sort correctly in the admin panel and on the catalog side. This vQmod fixes that. It sorts the banner images by their file name in both the admin panel and on the catalog side. All you have to do is name your banner image files like so 001-banner-image 002-banner-image 003-ban...

Re: [MOD] - VirtualQMod "vQmod" Virtual File Modification Sy

That will actually match in both places that you need it with the single operation (add and edit). And it lessens the chance that another vQmod that alters a different part of that query from breaking. But other than that, yes you can alter ANY code in ANY php or tpl file except the main index.php ...

Re: OpenCart 1.5.1.1 Bug Thread

Not a bug really, but a major PITA.

Why don't the banners have sort order? I can never get my banners to sort in the order I want them. Every time I go to modify something in the banner, it will randomly change the sort order to something else.

Re: [MOD] - VirtualQMod "vQmod" Virtual File Modification Sy

In the your second operation, you are missing a comma would be better written as: <operation> <search position="replace"><![CDATA['meta_description' => $result['meta_description'] ]]></search> <add><![CDATA['meta_description' => $result['meta_description'], 'specs' => $result['specs'] ]]></add> </o...

blank screen usually means that there is an error.. so the error.log may be helpful in your case That's the problem, i'm getting a blank white screen when I visit the admin products page, so no error is being generated, not in the error.log or in the vqmod.log file. :-\ The below code is what I hav...

Re: [MOD] - VirtualQMod "vQmod" Virtual File Modification Sy

Remove the line break. There is no line break in my vQmod file, I just broke the line here to try and make it easier to read. I usually use the same method without any problems. Try this: <file name="admin/model/catalog/product.php"> <operation> <search position="replace" index="1"><![CDATA[ $this-...

First, where do I get vQmod 2.0? Secondly, I'm using 1.2.3 now and I'm wondering can vQmod be used to modify db quires? I am trying to modify the following db query $this->db->query("INSERT INTO " . DB_PREFIX . "product_description SET product_id = '" . (int)$product_id . "', language_id = '" . (int...

Re: Native IPhone, IPad & Android mobile ecommerce builder

I'm kinda confused on the whole HTML5 web app.

Is this going to be a mobile theme that we can use for our OpenCart shop? Will we be able to download it and install it on OpenCart and then all mobile viewers will be redirected to the it?

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: News CMS Opecart 1.5.x

Ah nice.. then I can discontinue mine as this one looks nicer. :) Well that sucks. I was waiting for your CMS mod to be updated for 1.5. I don't wanna pay $52 for another mod as i'm quite happy with yours. Any chance you'll reconsider? Your mod might not have all the bells and whistles as this one,...

Re: Open Cart vs other ecom solutions

There are several topics in this part of our forum covering this. Have you used our FREE search? Did you even read his post? Or only the title of the thread... He's basically complementing OpenCart, which i'm sure Daniel doesn't mind if there are a million of those topics spread across the forum. ::)

Re: Mods and Extensions

OpenCart is already built for SEO, just fill out your meta description, meta tags, product/category titles, SEO URL links, and write good content for your site/products, and you shouldn't have any problems being indexed by the search engines. If you wanna take SEO even further though, you should hav...
