I just installed the latest version of opencart, and created a category and added a product.
But i can't see the products on the index-page, or the category in the menu.

Am i doing something wrong here?

Swedish language pack - 70% done

I'm about 70% complete with a full Swedish translation for v1.4.9.3. Was/ is quite a lot of work, so I will "unfortunately" do as several others, (taking a small amount of money ),for the Swedish language pack. Just wanted to inform everyone about this, if anyone else was going to start with a Swed...

Apologies in advance for any stupid questions.
What will be the main features of the new version (which is not already in the current version)?

Import products from CSV or Excel files?

Is there any free module for importing products from CSV or Excel files?

P.s. I have finally managed to install OpenCart, and I really like the ease of administration and the fast loading pages.

Re: Manually install OpenCart?

It finally seems to be working properly now.
It was the damn "Zend Optimizer" which haunted me. :-[

Exactly! That's why I think it's so strange.

Re: Manually install OpenCart?

Can i know is your INSTALL folder there? Its usually showing the install/index.php link with white page because found no INSTALL folder or the INSTALL folder's files are incomplete. Re: Manually install OpenCart?

I have double checked all file permissions and folders, so the fault lies elsewhere.
Can there be any additional settings that must be done on the server to install just OpenCart?

I think this is very strange.

The demo doesn´t work anymore.

Internal Server Error
...
If I remember correctly, (looked a bit on the demo yesterday), I like the design found in 1.4.9.3 much better.
Otherwise I have no more to add in the current situation.

Re: Manually install OpenCart?

I don´t want to seem desperate, but I would really like to be able to install OpenCart and start using the shop. As mentioned earlier, I just get a blank/white page when I go to /install/index.php. Nothing is saved in the error log, and no error message appears. It works great to install and use oth...

Re: Manually install OpenCart?

Yes, I know, but I get a blank/white page on the /install/index.php.
I have no problem with installing, configuring and using osCommerce, Prestashop and other online stores.

Does OpenCart require any special server settings and/or software for it to work?

Re: 1&1 installation problems - blank page

The best advice would be to debug it a few lines at a time. Edit the install/index.php file and add exit('test'); After a section of code. Save and reupload. Reload the page. If you see test, the repeat the process but move the exit code down a few lines. Repeat until you dont see test and try to n...
