Re: Getting VQMOD Error message: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 68 bytes)

I believe I fixed the problem of my checked.cache file getting large (few posts above). I'm now just curious about the mechanics of VQMOD. I really don't believe my checked.cache file got to 268 MB. My guess is that it got to around 20 MB. Even if it got to 20 MB (or even 50 MB), I'm wondering how t...

Re: Getting VQMOD Error message: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 68 bytes)

Before I deleted the vqmod/checked.cache file, I wish I took a note of how the big the file size was. Like others have mentioned, I can't believe this file got too large to create the fatal memory error. Based on a previous backup, I know that from June 2017 to Jan 2018 (about 7 months), that file s...

Re: '500 Internal Server Error' sometimes occurs when going into Sales -> Orders or when viewing an actual order

To update this thread, I believe I found out what was causing the problem. The errors did continue on a random basis despite my last post and suddenly the entire site (both front end and backend) got the error message which stopped the entire site: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes...

Re: Getting VQMOD Error message: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 68 bytes)

Thanks for all your replies. I think I may have solved the problem and it appears to have been both a memory issue as well as a vqmod issue. When I looked at the checked.cache file, it was creating a duplicate line upon every page load. That duplicate line was: /home/mysite/vendor/autoload.php So af...

Re: Getting VQMOD Error message: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 68 bytes)

So is it normal for the vqmod/checked.cache and vqmod/mods.cache files to keep getting larger and larger as time passes? Are we SUPPOSED to be deleting those files regularly? I don't mind doing it, I'm just wondering if this is normal or if there is something wrong in my setup. If these files are su...

Re: Getting VQMOD Error message: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 68 bytes)

Ok, I made the changes. Should I still keep my eye out on for the size of the vqmod/checked.cache and vqmod/mods.cache files in case they get too large? Do those files just keep getting larger and larger? Or is there is a limit on how large they get?

Re: Getting VQMOD Error message: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 68 bytes)

Ok, I'll try doing that. I wouldn't want to put values that are too high though. Do you have a recommended number that I should put for each?

Getting VQMOD Error message: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 68 bytes)

Today I suddenly got the error message: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 68 bytes) in /home/myservername/public_html/vqmod/vqmod.php on line 168 This message is appearing in both the front end and the backend. After about a year of using OpenCart, this...

Re: '500 Internal Server Error' sometimes occurs when going into Sales -> Orders or when viewing an actual order

After following Qphoria's tip to show all the detailed errors, what I just posted above is the exact error that pops up in a window. If a setting in my php.ini file was not correct, wouldn't I receive the error message every single time? In my case, I am only getting the error message sometimes. And...

Re: '500 Internal Server Error' sometimes occurs when going into Sales -> Orders or when viewing an actual order

Thanks for that. I added the code and this is the more detailed error message that shows up: <!DOCTYPE html> <!--[if IE 7]> <html lang="en" class="ie7 responsive no-rtl" > <![endif]--> <!--[if IE 8]> <html lang="en" class="ie8 responsive no-rtl" > <![endif]--> <!--[if IE 9]> <html lang="en" class="i...

'500 Internal Server Error' sometimes occurs when going into Sales -> Orders or when viewing an actual order

In the admin, when I go to Sales -> Orders or when I click to view an actual order, I am sometimes getting a popup with the error message: 500 Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Re: Shopping Cart Contents & Order Description not displaying in PayPal if payment is made using PayPal Pro

I only noticed this yesterday but when I look back at all the PayPal Pro transactions ever since my OpenCart site went live about a month ago, it's NEVER shown the shopping cart contents so it's possible that it hasn't been coded into the pp_pro files to do this. I don't think it has to do with the ...

Shopping Cart Contents & Order Description not displaying in PayPal if payment is made using PayPal Pro

After a purchase is made via PayPal Pro, both the customer and I get an email from OpenCart showing the order details. However, these order details don't seem to be getting passed to PayPal - I'm only seeing a total amount. Before switching to OpenCart, I had another e-commerce site for many years a...

Re: Is there any harm that could come if someone knew the url's (& token IDs) you were using when logged into the admin?

Thanks, this is great to know. So does this token system insert something into the browser (similar to cookies) which only that particular browser can use? And logging out of the admin removes whatever was inserted? What if I was on vacation and I wanted to log into the admin on the hotel's wi-fi ne...

Is there any harm that could come if someone knew the url's (& token IDs) you were using when logged into the admin?

If I logged into the OpenCart admin on a public computer, would there be any harm if someone saw and copied the exact url I was visiting? For example, one of the url's might be something like this: mydomain.com/admin/index.php?route=common/dashboard&token=JdiNzK.......6XVoZg I noticed that url inclu...

Re: how to pass opencart address to Paypal Standard?

On your 4th last line you forgot a semi-colon which gave a syntax error. Also, since Canada follows the exact same phone number structure as the US (3 digit area code, 3 digit prefix, and 4 for the rest), I changed the code a little to look like this: $phone = preg_replace("/[^0-9.]/", "", html_enti...

Re: how to pass opencart address to Paypal Standard?

I have to correct my above post. Without changing any of the code (ie/ without specifying country code & just keeping your original code), when I enter a Canadian phone number (say area code 416) and put a US address, it does go through "sometimes." For example, say I get to the PayPal checkout page...

Re: how to pass opencart address to Paypal Standard?

Ok, I think I've figured it out. All your above code DOES work! The problem was that I was testing it with fictitious area codes like 123 or 333. If I put in a REAL area code like 213 or 646, then it works! And I think it might be country specific too because when I put in a US address but enter a C...

Re: how to pass opencart address to Paypal Standard?

For phone number, I entered 1234567890. When inspecting the page at the Confirm Order step, I do see the variables: <input name="night_phone_a" value="123" type="hidden"> <input name="night_phone_b" value="456" type="hidden"> <input name="night_phone_c" value="7890" type="hidden"> That should be an ...

Re: how to pass opencart address to Paypal Standard?

No errors this time, but the phone number field is still not populated. Do you think it makes a difference if the customer enters the phone number as (333) 333-3333 vs 333-333-3333 vs 3333333333 ?
