Re: [RELEASED] Export/Import module for Opencart 1.1.x

The sort_order values are in the database after import. I can import and export them without issue, and the values are retained. I see them in the database as entered, so it's no fault of the contribution. It's just that for some reason my opencart install is just displaying them in order of product...

Re: [RELEASED] Export/Import module for Opencart 1.1.x

I noticed that the sort_order of my product options was not being respected on import. I suspect this is actually a problem with opencart 1.2.5, since the actual values seem to be imported just fine but do not display in the proper order when listed on product pages. Instead, they are listed in the ...

How can I create simple shipping modules?

Maybe this is a noobish question, but I did not readily find the answer via search. I have a store where shipping is calculated manually after checkout. I would like to make a super-simple shipping module (or series of shipping modules) that has no price so I can at least let the customer choose a p...

Re: [RELEASED] Export/Import module for Opencart 1.1.x

heh figures... I was using OpenOffice Calc at the time. I have no trouble when opening exports in Excel 2007 on another computer, and even did another import and export just to make sure. It's probably the fault of that version of OpenOffice.... I can't check the version info since I'm at another lo...

Re: [RELEASED] Export/Import module for Opencart 1.1.x

I'm not sure if this is just me, but it seems like the category and product descriptions get truncated to 255 characters on Export (import handles them fine). They are stored as TEXT in the db, and I don't believe there is any (within reason) limit on their length on opencart's side.

Re: Thinking of putting the module system back

I think this is fairly overdue.... it should just be done this way. Also, I hope there will not be a limit to the position names. Just let the template define the position names.... you could have a function that is called in the template like: ...<?php loadposition('left'); ?>... ...and that functi...

Re: Static Product Attributes, any thoughts?

Awesome... thanks for pointing me in the right direction. :)

I didn't think that the options were loaded for categories, since they are in a separate table in the db... but I may have been overthinking it.

Static Product Attributes, any thoughts?

This is kind of a specialized application, but I think exploring it might be beneficial for others. I am working on a store that has many similar products that differ only by a set of attributes. Since these attributes are important to choosing which product is needed, the category page has to show ...

Re: Remove sort by Ratings?

in catalog/controller/product/category.php, there's a spot between lines 163 and 173 (in mine anyway).... just comment out the lines that add those values to the 'sorts' array: ........ $this->data['sorts'][] = array( 'text' => $this->language->get('text_price_desc'), 'value' => 'p.price-DESC', 'hre...

Re: [RELEASED] Export/Import module for Opencart 1.1.x

Sulix, you'll probably have to at least check your apache error log and look for telltale php errors/warnings. If you're not sure where it is, ask your host. The problem will usually be pretty obvious from the logs, but if you think it's an incompatibility, then post it here. It might be that php re...

Re: How to align the OPEN CARD LINK

To modify alignment of the div, consult the CSS... particularly /catalog/template/default/css/default.css and look for "#footer .b" To modify the footer itself, modify the contents of catalog/language/english/extension/module/footer.php with the new text, as well as in other language files if you ha...

Re: Making Header Section Larger.

Assuming that you're basing your template on the default one, the sections that you would care about would be these in default.css... I'm using the XHTML-compliance patch so that probably affects this as well... #header { height: 70px; clear: both; } #header .a { background: url('../image/logo.gif')...

Re: 32-character limit on Options and Category names

You might like to try some tests because as far as I understand it (reading the work of others, not testing), the varchar is 3 times faster than text ONLY if it is in the index being used to reference the table. Otherwise, they are the same. For the opencart product and category tables, the strings...

Re: how to add overall discount ?

I'm not really sure exactly where to change, but I can tell you this would definitely require a decent amount of code changes to be properly displayed to the user, since the subtotal is used throughout the checkout process and you probably want a conditional strikeout or something. Since you probabl...

Re: Next/Previous page for category

which category.php is it?? whats the path? That should be the controller for category (./catalog/controller/category.php)... Re: 32-character limit on Options and Category names

Thanks for the help and quick replies. I'll give this a try in a couple days when I rebuild my default test store. So the tables that hold the category and option names are indeed char(32)? I really need to brush up on MySQL.... Thanks for pointing me to validate(). I'm probably going to go with VAR...

32-character limit on Options and Category names

I wanted to know how difficult it might be to change the Option and Category length limits. I suppose it was done because of the way the default template spaces the names, but I have need of slightly longer options on my current project because of evil-but-precise medical jargon, and cannot abbrevia...

Re: Offline/Manual CC Payment Module Needed

From a workflow point of view, would you mind to tell me... how are you going to use the creditcard information to collect the money? Do you enter it into a payment gateway account of your own? Well, that's the point of offiline processing. Basically, when the user posts their order the owner gets ...

Re: Offline/Manual CC Payment Module Needed

I'm also having trouble locating said solution. If someone could possibly post a short description or link to a thread, we'd much appreciate it.

Edit: closest I've seen was this one http://forum.opencart.com/index.php/topic,936.0.html, which still has problems.

Re: Remove continue Button

This seems to work just fine for me also, but I'm not really sure I understand where we are actually POSTing anything to the information controller. During checkout there's simply a link to open t&c in a new window, so the continue button doesn't do anything. Privacy policy is the same, if your sett...
