I think so, but in any case even if they weren't cached, wouldn't it just be a case of refreshing the non-cached page to create the cached version, and then the bar would appear?

Any time the text, shirt color or font settings are changed, the enlarged picture is updated automatically without a page refresh.

Hi This mod may be of use to you. It lets your customers select fonts using a normal product option dropdown, but then when they type in their text, the text appears on the product pictures you upload. You can see a demo here. If anyone wants a way to allow customers to apply text directly to an enlarged image so that they can see the text superimposed over the image in real time, the latest version of Product Attribute Pictures has this functionality. For OpenCart v1.4.x, it requires Global Mega Options to work properly....
