Naar mijn ervaring kun je de tekst in je admin gewoon verwijderen, vervolgens verdwijnt de box met "Welkom ..." automatisch.

Hoi,
Kan dit niets te maken hebben met Internet Explorer v9?
Ik heb dit namelijk zelf al vastgesteld.
In IE9 kun je onder het menu "Extra" kiezen om de "Compatibiliteitsmodus Aan/Uit" te zetten.
Dit kan veel oplossen.
Wel een vervelend iets.

Temporary Fix:
1. Open het pad /catalog/view/theme/default/template/common
2. Editeer header.tpl
3. Onder je <head> tag, plak het volgende: <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" />
4. Vergeet header.tpl niet op te slaan
5. Ververs de pagina
