If I could make a small suggestion... In the upgrade instructions, you may want to add a small blurb about fixing permissions for the folders once you over write them. I was bombarded with a ton of errors until I realized the problem was just my permissions were modified when over writing.

This thread has been silent for almost a month... How is this project coming along? Am I understanding right that this will be for admins who want to run an actual brick and mortar shop to process transactions? Will there be a way to pull customer data and previous order lists? What sort of payment ...
