The Permissions denied message just means you didnt add the permissions. With opencart, by default a new component/module does not have any access. I upgraded mine a while back. Its just a matter of dropping the fckeditor tree into the admin/javascript folder. I think there is 1 config file for the connector piece and 1 for the fck editor, but only 1 or two options need to be changed.

Definetly, only the way i decided to intergrate it, its not really recyclable code. i had to basically hard code in some of the entries that build into the tree that represents the sitemap.
