301 Redirects not working

Hi I created a test site a couple of years ago which has some worthwhile 301 value to it. I would like to redirect 4 specific pages to corresponding pages on another site, and then 301 the mass of the remaining pages. Thing is, the following code is not working: Redirect 301 /index.php?route=product...

Delivery Date Picker

Is it possible for the customer to be presented with a calendar and choose their delivery date?

If I had such a feature, I would like it to appear only to UK domestic customers - free delivery weekdays and an extra charge for a saturday.

Thanks

Re: How many payment methods should you accept?

We use Worldpay who have recently started accepting American Express : 10% of sales this month have been with American Express. It will be interesting to find out if it's a one-off.

Thanks for the explanation Q. Linking to the mod for other members.

Re: Qphoria's WorldPay (XML/Invisible)

At the moment I'm using cubecart and worldpay... I send the customer off to worldpay at the moment. I'm almost certainly going to move to opencart and think I might use this. Would the simple £29 ssl on this page do the job? How does this mod change the sending of data from how I do it now? How is i...

Re: Moving from 1and1 to vidahost (or similar)

Thanks guys. I will need hosting for four sites - assuming I move to vidahost, what package should I get?... I asked 1and1 how much bandwidth we used and was only 4GB, so not much. There will be two carts for the business and a cart a brochure site for my Dad. I've not used cpanel before but I under...

Moving from 1and1 to vidahost (or similar)

1and1 host both the domains and the websites, and I've never used another hosting company. So they might be the worst in the world or they might be the best, I don't know, what do you think? And is it a good idea to move domains to somewhere who won't be hosting the sites? Somewhere British is prefe...

Re: Worried about losing ranking if I switch cart (to openca

I write all the copy. I'm think off using some of my old stuff but most likely I'll update it. Our retail customers often use our copy but they don't use so much of it, so we tend to come top.

Aside: I wish we had a blog!

Re: Google Analytics Ecommerce Tracking

For those of us who send our customers off-site to make payment, we need to give the gateway a page to send the customer back to once the transaction is complete... and then we tell GA which that page is I think. What page can we send the customer back to in OC for GA to recognise a complete transa...

Worried about losing ranking if I switch cart (to opencart)

We have only five products on our site; one of them accounting for 80% of turnover. For that keyword we are number one on google, which makes the matter of indexing by google (if indexing is the right word) quite important to us. My site needs a lick of paint and I've been wanting to change to openc...

Re: I want someone to skin my site

Thanks guys, I will reply to PMs next week once I know that OC has the features I need. As for the spam... the current cart is cubecart, but I didn't have the captcha enabled. I enabled it and told the hosting company that my site couldn't be used by bots to spam any more.. so they put it back up - ...

IT Help or an IT forum

At work we have three PCs, soon to be five.... I want one of them to act as simple file repository (I'm avoiding the word server) and have it all peer-to-peer. Everyone is trying to sell me a server £2k+ once the installation is added, but we simply don't need a server, and not one of these salesmen...

Tracking magazine-driven sales: matching coupons to sales

I advertise in magazine but really have no idea which magazines truly work unless I phone the customer to ask them how they heard about the product. I can see how many times a coupon was applied but they apply the coupon long before a sale is complete. If a coupon was used for a sale, I want to know...

Unless there is a better option I haven't thought of, Ideally I would like to do it by weight. I have only a few products but their weight varies considerably... Re: I want someone to skin my site

deleted text from the original post: "I want the site up and running in 24 hours even if it's not perfect." Re: Free domestic shipping but charge for overseas?

If I wanted to vary prices according to weight or some other selection criterion, can it do that? It doesn't really matter how each product is selected as there are only six products, just so long as it can be done. For example: Britain : No charges France, Germany : Products 1,2,3 £20 | Products 4,...
