Hello there guys.
So, a couple days ago I met OpenCart and thought it was perfect for my current project.I installed it in my computer using MAMP(I'm using MAC OS), and everything worked perfectly, I even started off my custom theme, but when I decided to try it out on a real web server, then things turned around...
I'm sure I did everything correctly, downloaded the latest stable release, and upload the contents of the upload folder to a new sub-directory.When it was time to acces it and install, I got the infamous 500 error:
500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.
At iPage control pannel, I managed to find the error log:
<b>Security Alert!</b> The PHP CGI cannot be accessed directly.
<p>This PHP CGI binary was compiled with force-cgi-redirect enabled. This
means that a page will only be served up if the REDIRECT_STATUS CGI variable is
set, e.g. via an Apache Action directive.</p>
<p>For more information as to <i>why</i> this behaviour exists, see the <a href="http://php.net/security.cgi-bin">manual page for CGI security</a>.</p>
People I REALLY tried to fix it up by myself and looking up on the internet, but I really couldn't....
I think that I have to set this REDIRECT_STATUS variable somewhere, but I don't know where or how to do it, I even tried editing php.ini file in in iPage control panel but did not work...
Well, that's, I hope someone can help me a little.
Thanks for the attention people
