Add Additional Tab + Compatible w/ Export/Import Tool

Hello all,

I'm looking for a mod that:

1.) will add an additional tab to a product where I can add images and text
2.) is compatible w/ Export/Import tool <http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... order=DESC>. It doesn't have to add the fields in the spreadsheet, I just don't want the additional tab data to get erased when I'm importing a new spreadsheet.

Any ideas?

hiya... why not just clone the description tab... and change it to its own veriable?

That's exactly the problem I noticed after exporting my products, doing a find and replace in excel to change one piece of text and then importing it all back in. Unfortunately I lost the extra tab that I had created for each product.(Purchased Mod) After shouting multiple swear words I began the process of adding the tab to each product again :-( Luckily there was only 30.

This 'clone the description tab' sounds like a good idea as I don't want to go through all that again in the future.

Jeremy Fisk: I did code tabs for certain categories as a temporary solution. The tabs have different information based on the product's category. However, I'm setting up the cart for someone else who knows nothing about code, and they need something they can easily update themselves through the cart administration. Obviously, this person would be unable to clone another tab for another category through the code.

I just searched for 'cloning' and found various results. Mostly 'cloning categories and information'.

It then occurred to me that the 'export.php' file from the free mod would also need attacking as the new information obviously has to be accounted for regarding DB tables etc. I'll go through it this weekend and see if I can include my purchased mod 'Custom Product Tab'. It was only $10 so well worth the investment ;-)
