error_filetype

I am trying to upload images for the banner with sizes of 940 x 350 and each image is under 300kb and I've uploaded the logo with no problems but the images for the banner keep getting a error_filetype error after it reaches 100% uploaded. All images are in jpg format. How can I fix this?
