OpenCart v1.4.9

Postby Qphoria » Fri Aug 27, 2010 8:30 pm

OpenCart v1.4.9 Final is available for download!

Changes from 1.4.8b to 1.4.9:
FIXES:
- Fixed additional email for loop issue causing "Please Wait" and "Error Send To Required"
- Improved featured products query to make all status checks and return all pertinent data to match latest and bestseller queries.
- If no shipping, tax zone set to buyer's payment zone instead of default store zone
- Session uses full path for session to prevent session sharing
- Removed unneeded products variable from admin order.php
- Removed error on empty language file
- admin/controller/catalog/review.php double text validation cleaned up
- Admin Order Edit now supports product options & updated totals

ADDED:
- Feature Module uses category-style selector for products
- Extension install/uninstall hook. Now when you install/uninstall extensions, if they have their own install/uninstall functions, they will be triggered.
- Logout destroys session completely.
- sort by model
- Cache for featured products
- Cache for categories
- Image class supports proper extension name on resize and transparency for png and gif.
- Extensions will "self-clean" if the files are deleted without uninstalling the extension first.
- Restored "Show Out Of Stock warning" option in setting
- Parent Category pages show image next to description
- Select All / Unselect All to all checkbox lists
- Postcode required option added to countries. Now postcode can be required on a per-country basis.
- Coupon code can be entered on Payment AND Confirm page, for those payments that skip the payment page
- New Paypal Improved. Itemized products, PDT support, debug messaging and more.
- Added Northern Ireland zones to UK
- FilesMatch check in htaccess to prevent viewing of tpl and ini files

NOTES:
- No changes should be needed for most third party Extensions. Most extensions that worked for 1.4.8/1.4.8b should work for 1.4.9 without change.
- I've included a new file in the root called "delta.txt". This file has a list of ALL the files that changed since the last full released version (1.4.8b).
- The Admin Order Edit has been completely redone. Admin Order Insert is delayed until future versions
- If using an RC version of 1.4.9, I've shown the list of files that changed since RC3 near the bottom. Be sure to run the upgrade script when going to 1.4.9 Final.

SVN:
http://code.google.com/p/opencart/source/detail?r=124

Download:
http://opencart.googlecode.com/files/op ... v1.4.9.zip

Be sure to run the upgrade script if using any previous versions

Thank you to all community members who helped to test 1.4.9 RC versions. This helped to make 1.4.9 the most stable version to date!

Sweet, when will this be released to softaculous? I find it much easier to do the install in a couple of clicks :)

So would you say that 149 would be okay to use in a live shop?

It's been out as a release candidate for a few weeks now, and it's been pretty thoroughly tested so yes edwinjung it should be fine to use. Subscribe to the 1.4.9 bug list thread found here and you can keep up should there be any problems, and fixes will be posted there

Is it possible to list the files that have been changed since 1.4.8b?

I was going to say that a file, delta.txt, that lists all of the changed files is included in the zip which made life much easier... but I had no idea about the code.google.com thingie that allows all specific code changes to be seen.

Wow! This ought to be better publicized. Only 50 files are showing though; what does "To see all changed paths, use the svn log command-line" mean ?!

@purebeads - you should be able to find them in the 1.4.9 rc1,2,3 thread. Q made some pretty pictures with the list of changed files (just like the ones at the top of this thread)

Is Date Of Birth something that will be add in the future? Because I see in language file account/edit.php
Code: Select all
$_['entry_date_of_birth'] = 'Date Of Birth:';

There are those that choose not to read.

The same code.google.com link that has been given for the last 3 releases. Eyes wide shut!
Google code only lists 50 changes on the site. For the rest you need the SVN tool to view them directly from the google code repository

I have no idea where that came from. Perhaps it was something Daniel planned on adding at some point.
