Is there a way to recognize echeque payments in paypal?

Hello, With our current system we filter out all echeque orders and wait for a confirmation email from paypal before sending anything out. This is all done via filtering the echeque emails in gmail... Is there a way I can flag echeque payments in opencart through the paypal standard module? Is paypal capable of returning this kind of transaction information back?

The new paypal in the next version will have custom statuses for each status paypal offers. This will allow you to have a special status for echeck payments.
