Hello
I wanted to create an OpenCart website for Architecture course. Is it better to use custom templates? Seems that they are mostly used for e-commerce. Or perhaps there are some good paid variants?

Well, sure those Templates are mostly for e-commerce, because
the sole purpose of OC is e-commerce. And anything else would be
a compromise, like using a Truck, to pick up 2 sixpacks of beer.
But if you don't plan to sell something, look here, to possibly find
a well-done alternative, fully based on OC v.2.x ! It even has a very
lovely dark theme for it, among some great other Goodies, also
offered for free, and most OC-2 related extensions, not related to
products + sales , can be made work.

Thanks for alternatives. I like this one - https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... _license=0 Perhaps it could be the best for Architecture course. Looks very reliable and the dark color is just perfect, as for me.
