I would like to post about the assistance we had from the Opencart support when we contacted them via the Opencart Contact page. I am actually shocked how can a person behave this way while providing a support. Here are some screenshots where you can see what one of the Opencart Support did for us:

Dear Admin,
Your server times out again. Whenever I want to try on your server it will times out after a few tries. If I switch to another client it works initially, but again times out after a few tries.
I can't help you further because I can't even connect to your server using all my available resources. Please tell your hosting the problem of time out.

Dear Admin,
Your given FTP does not correspond to the site for demo2.goinfancy.com , could you please double check if you are accessing the correct web site?

Hello,
Do you mind if you make any further tests to our dev version of the site, since we will be showing the main version to our clients. The URL for the dev is:
*
We will redirect the FTP to the dev site so the FTP credentials will remain the same. Could you please revert any changes which you have made to *?
Also what should we ask our hosting provider to check on their end?

Dear Admin,
This is mostly the same when I have done it twice:
1. enter the admin and test the mail option
- It pops out not found along with apache generated message
2. Modify the mail controller code and add a debug message at the top of the controller
- The message does not show, which indicate the request is not routed to the controller
3. After I have opened the mail setting page, I modify index.php (the entry point of the app) such that it shows a message and dies immediately.
- The message shows, but the HTTP status is freaking 403!!!!! I haven't added any thing which will interfere the header
4. I moved .htaccess to .htaccess.bak because I am checking if it is interfering the request
- After moving it, all request to the server, including FTP and HTTP, times out.

Hello,
That sounds very serious. Can you tell us what exactly are you doing so we can replicate it and notify our hosting provider so they can check this on their end?

Dear Admin,
I suspect that your server may be infected with malware. I first modified your index.php to die immediately, but it generate HTTP 403 before the intended message pops out, I then try to remove your .htaccess and the server times out again.

Hello,
We have not made any changes since yesterday when we have to restore a backup of our opencart. As of now the site is loading without any issues:
Are you still having troubles accessing our site? Also do you need any kind of FTP or opencart admin panel access?

Hello,
We are contacting you regarding a thread which we have created in the forum but no solution has been provided there so far:
https://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=190&t=203967
We are using Opencart 2.3 and we are trying to use the Marketing > Mail feature but its not sending emails. We were looking through the code but we were not able to find what exactly breaks the code. Please advice on how this can be fixed.
The screenshots above show what has been changed by the Opencart support on our DEV version of the site which we are creating. The same was done to our live site for which we had to ask twice for the changes to be reverted. I understand that the person is providing free support but the actions made are not normal. If the person simply did not want to help us or can't help us he just had to tell us and not "break" our site and type such content on our pages and leaving it there.
This is very bad customer experience. Nobody should receive that kind of support.
Hope that people will read this and think twice before providing access to Opencart support.
