The email sent by OC is quite sparse and I wanted much more information in email when a customer places an order. At first I tried the vqmod xml from OC2PS that has worked so well with OC 2.x but apparently it doesn't work with OC 3.0.2.0. So I thought the next best solution would be to add the missing fields to order_alert.twig but the additional items that end up in the email are the text fields and not the actual value.

for example, if I add:

Code: Select all

{{ text_payment_address }} {{ payment_address }}
All the email shows for that field is "Payment Address:" with nothing after it.

xxvirusxx - thank you! That extension works (but it does also allow the usual Alert email to be sent so I receive both).

But it's a good start and now to figure out how to kill the "regular" Alert one...

Disable that extension, make a backup or rename order.php from catalog/controller/mail and upload this file in the same location. Refresh ocmod and test.

xxvirusxx I would like to make this work as well and also not receive the regular admin order emails. Which file are you suggesting we upload? I dont see anything linked under your last message
