Custom one off item

I've been trying to find the best way of implementing a custom item, what I need is a way for either me or a customer to type in a breif description and set price of an item, that s won't be on main public page so no issue of folk putting nonsense prices in,
It's just annoying having to go into product, add product, set price, come out, add to order ect for one off items.
Just wondering if there is an easier way without having to go through all that rigmarole every time

Well, you don't seem to be aware, that it all depends on, if one
downloads the so-called 'latest' Version from this Site, or then from
the Github Developer Site. So better be precise on such major details,
or you will not get very lucky in this place here...
