Well, you could try it anyway, it can always be removed again, if it does not function.
It's always a Problem, to use latest Software Versions, since not much on (free) Mods exist.
But I am fully aware of, only talking to the wind...

Well, you seem to misunderstand the purpose of those 2 editors,
they do NOT change OC File Content, unlike a Tool like shown on
the image below. But this tool does not exist for latest OC Versions,
you therefore would have to install some PHP-Editor, or something like
this, to work on/with OC Source:

One day developers will make things simple

Well, who would kill his/her own business on purpose, just to make Life easier
for the Rest ?

Or if they do, then like Google, Apple, and all the others, by the
'Service against Your Data' Way of doing this, looking onto the inside of
your Pants, but here, many Visitors don't even leave Site data, and nobody cares.
So better just don't expect anything, you would not share yourselfs, Real Life is all
about Money, good Life at least
