Need help fixing store issues

Recently our store has started sending plain text passwords to newly registered customers
( we had previously patched the mail template so it would not do this but somehow this template patch no longer works )
Also we need to add a captcha to the contact page ( this also does not seem to work if setup in the admin page )
So we would like to hire someone to figure out what happened and fix these problems
