OK i understand im using a RC version, i got a little confused with Github and thinking this would be the next release with maybe a few little updates, when in fact it jumped to OC 3.

So now thats out the way,

i have in my side menu "admin >> extensions >> extension store" while its not causing any harm being there is quite a frustration it's not working, so i would like to just remove it from the menu tree,

i have looked in so many folders to remove the link, so it has more of a OC 2.3.0.2 feel about the menu tree but im at a loss of where to find it. does anyone have a clue to its location so i can remove it from the menu tree please.

so to be clear i just want to remove the extensions store link from the admin menu tree

i will pop below a copy of the github version:
https://github.com/opencart/opencart/tree/2.3.x/upload

Thank you for your help.

If you're starting a live store I would really, really recommend not using a release candidate, especially 2.3.0.3. It's more of a beta than a release candidate, and is unlikely to be stable for live store usage. You'd be much better off installing a fresh 3.0.1.3, so you actually have the latest code, or 2.3.0.2, which is the official release.

If you plan on sticking with the release candidate, I believe the admin menu links are all generated in this file:

/admin/controller/common/column_left.php
