No, Sir, an Option Value is always 'tied' to a Product, and can therefore
not be 'handled' like an 'individual' THING, such as a product.

Perhaps I didn't explain, very well, what I wanted to achieve. I'll try again.
When you add a product to your cart, if there any selectable options, for instance a size, when you add this product to your cart and then view your cart the selected size would show up under the product name. I want to have the same thing happen when adding a product to the wishlist i.e. if I have selected a size for the product and then add the product to my wishlist then view the wishlist the size would show up under the product name.
Hopefully this better explains what I am trying to achieve.

ok, I understand.
If you check your theme/template/product/product.tpl file,
you will find 2 Sections, totally containing about 60 Code lines, related to
display the Product options. And in your catalog/controller/product/product.php file,
there are another about 50 Code-Lines, related to displaying Product options. And also
the corresponding Product Language file contains some lines, belonging to this.
---
This means, that all this code needs to be 'matched' and implemented into the corresponding
wishlist.tpl and wishlist.php files, to make the Option Content visible there as well.
Or at least, I assume, that it could be made to work this way !
So, either you can do it on yourselfs, or then, you'll require Pro Assistance.
Good Luck
