Hi! I'm considering to start a new open cart installation leaving 1.5, using it as my default web project because I like it and I'm confident that it's a best wy for web developing.

So this last relase 2.0.1.1 is stable?

Are still there some bugs?

This really isn't a bug...but more of a suggestion. When you have users that only have access to certain things....for example...they do not have access to see anything in the dashboard....those items should be disabled from viewing. Currently in 2.0.1.1 if they don't have access to what is displayed on the dashboard, it throws a JSON - permission denied error. I wouldn't think an error should be shown here...just disable what they don't have permission to view.

Yes the category system hasn't changed.

Technically it is a bug.. there are quite a few json errors that need to be suppressed when they are set to inactive.

And colors or theming should be done in the stylesheet.
You can use chrome or firefox to "inspect element" by right clicking on it and that gives you a developer panel with information about the html and css for the element. Here you can play with different settings. PHP is generally not a factor when dealing with theming.

Hello,

I have upgraded from 1.5 to 2.011. In the upgrade.txt is mentioned: "If you see any errors, report them immediately in the forum before continuing"
So that's whta I am doing now. I get these error:
Notice: Error: Can't DROP 'option_value'; check that column/key exists
Error No: 1091
ALTER TABLE `oc_product_option` DROP `option_value` in /home/web1212/public_html/system/library/db/mysqli.php on line 40

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/web1212/public_html/system/library/db/mysqli.php:40) in /home/web1212/public_html/system/library/response.php on line 12

How shall I continue?

Thx Ron!

Thanks Qphoria,

Just let you all know about my attempt to upgrade from 1.5.6.4 to 2.0.1.1...
I could solve some problems with the help of this link:
viewtopic.php?f=135&p=546635#p546635
The front end looked good again, but I couldn't come through the mess in the back-end, terrible.
After 2 days I gave up, back to v1.5.6.4 again now :-(

I have installed 2.0.1.1 but for the life of me I cannot find the mail page in the admin. In 1.5.6 it was admin>sales>mail. Thanks for your help.
