So we now have an account with UserVoice, I have personally used them for a long time on another project and it is a great way of getting community ideas and seeing what the community thinks of them.

Click here to see the OpenCart UserVoice site

I would like to point out some very clear rules about this.

Spam is automatically filtered, removed and you will be blocked - no one has love for spammers
Look for issues that are related / the same before you create a new one. If it exists add your suggestions and add votes!
VOTE on topics that benefit everyone, not topics that can/should be done as a 3rd party extension.
Please do not get offended if your suggestion is declined!
Be polite, do not troll people for making suggestions / having an opinion.
THIS IS NOT A SUPPORT SITE!
Unless it is a screen shot of an example, absolutely no web links allowed in the comments.
Do not post suggestions in this thread, please use the suggestions site

We are at the point where I believe that community input into improvements, features etc are vital. If a topic gets enough support I will review and pitch it to Daniel.

honestly, i'm not sure sure about this, it may end up, once in a while, in an endless loop, if suggestions eventually end up in plain polemic. It's knowingly a rather small step from a suggestion to possibly beeing slightly critical on existing 'things' as well, once in a while, so, will see...

good luck

Hi Ernie, The idea is that people can make suggestions, browse others and vote on them. If a specific topic gets popular then it is clear something needs to be worked on with it ( it can also be a good platform for 3rd party devs to see what could be released for older versions if something is added). I am hoping that people do not critisise suggestions, if it's not popular then it will simply not get any votes - and as explained above trolling won't be accepted in any mannor.

Add it as a suggestion and see how others feel about that too :)

Just as a further note, I don't want this thread filling up with suggestions...please use the site linked in the top to make them.

We need a mechanism or a place where we can make not only suggestions, but also discuss the pros and cons, this can't be done by merely having votes on them. Also, there are a number of very useful suggestions on how to improve OpenCart which are only relevant for developers (e.g. about OpenCart's framework, API, event handlers, OCmod/VQmod etc), and which will have therefore only a few votes, but are nevertheless important.

I still think we need a more user-friendly way of discussing suggestions, and reporting bugs.

i do strongly suggest that new version should includes:

- an option in setting for "auto generate Model number in product pages".

As this is not exactly a bug, I am writing here. Product options (admin product view) seems to be displayed randomly. I have options like:
Nicole 001
Nicole 002
Nicole 003
... etc.

When I add those options in this order in 'options' tab of a product and save, next time I open the tab the order seems to be quite random. As I have dozens of options it is difficult to find a particular one.

Still, fortunately those options are displayed in the correct order in front-end product view.

Hi,
Just want to give a suggestion to be included in next release. If you people notice there are a large no. of comments for the famous extensions and for the info a user is looking for he has to shuffle through all the horde of pages. So, is this possible to add a search function or a tag display for that particular extension so that we can just get to the info in no time. :) just a suggestion that can save time. Like for example if somebody is looking a particular extension and he wants to know whether this extension is compatible with another extension available in the market he has to surf every page ....if search function or tag cloud is available then he can just enter the another extension's name and will get to that comment ..........

Hello.

1. I would like a real free shipping option in the products . Now if you select of the No Shipping option you will not get the step to enter shipping details in the checkout step .
2. I dont see anywhere custom registration fields and thats makes me worried, I hope I m just blind :)
3. Images tags for google seo ( more here: viewtopic.php?f=121&t=20057 )

Thanks

I'm working with clothes in my store.
What i'm missing is more options in the coupons or sales.
Bv : buy one item from selexted category 10% , buy 2 20%, buy 3 or more 30%

One good suggestion. :)
This the option to set one of the radio-button checked is useful. This feature should be ready to trade in a built in.
