running OC with mySQLi

running OC with mySQLi

My host is running mySQLi and I'm wondering if I am able to run OC with it, or will I need to do recoding inorder to make it work?

If MySQLi is running, then MySQL (without i) should be also able.
i means only 'Improved' : http://at2.php.net/manual/en/book.mysqli.php
And - to answer your question - no, OC will currently not run with MySQLi (has not the correct database connector).
