Product option as product

maybe i can't find it (or an extension) but there should be an option for product options to show this product option as an separate product in the store front or not.

so if i have a camera with 4 colors

this is one product in the admin with 4 options with separate price, stock etc. but the store front show in the category of this product all 4 options as a separate product. every product link shows the same product but with preselected option.

also options should have more fields like own ean-code, han-code etc.

imho a basic function for a shop system

There is an extension that adds ean codes and other codes to product options
