Cool! How do I enable it though?
I downloaded openshop from your site (not the full one, since opencart was already installed), unzipped it and uploaded to my opencart directory; yet when I login to admin, I don't see CMS and any other features besides the standard admin menus.
Sorry, newbie here

OpenShop RC2 is live now with good improvements.
The overall look and feel has changed. New single theme is introduced instead of 6 colors variations. Now you can change theme options at System->Settings->Design tab:
* main menu, buttons & links colors
* background color & image
* header size and logo position
* menu, buttons, images and page load animations
Other changes include:
* File Manager totally revorked to serve as real online development tool
* Display of hidden vQmods added to Tweaks menu
* vQmod manual mode fixed and improved
We are close to Release. Please provide as hard testing as possible.

Really like this version.
Has some great features as standard, that should really be in the standard opencart release in my view.
One thing id like to see, is the VAT number validation service for wholesale customers, so prices will display excluding vat, and european clients can order products excluding vat also.
Apart from that, great release, i will def consider using this for client work instead of standard release.

Thank you for nice view!SXGuy wrote:Really like this version.

Oh, just noticed that I published RC2 with old installer - and Default theme turned on. That's a shame )
Updated )
I'm not so good at VAT's functionality, because my main field is digital downloads. Isn't it achievable with customers groups and/or geozones?SXGuy wrote:One thing id like to see, is the VAT number validation service for wholesale customers.
I dont think vat number validation has been added to OC but i know there is an extension for this already.
I guess its not so important since there is a paid extension
I can see you have put a lot of effort in to this version. I will def be using it if you continue to update along since the offical releases.

OpenShop is created in such a way, that most of it functions will "survive" the upgrade. If some modification turn out to be not compatible, it can be disabled at Tweaks menu anytime. OpenShop includes more than 30 individual vQmods, that makes one faulty modification not to affect another ones.
I've really put a lot efforts into OpenShop creation. I will be updated along with official Opencart releases very fast.

Yep, it plays nice with all Opencart themes.3antz wrote:Nice addon, what about themes? Would it work with OC themes? Thanks.
Sure, OpenShop may fail to "strip" some functionality or change colors or add elements animation with some themes that are too far from Default one in markup. In this case you just shouldn't use that particular ability.
Just to mention, there is "Disable OpenShop" button at Tweaks menu, that returns you to clean OpenCart. You can quickly check if OpenShop is "guilty" for some issue - and enable it back after that.
Found this today...... installed it.....LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!
Thank you. already my site looks better, now all I've got to do is work out how to hide the 'checkout' links so that people are forced to check out through the cart.... voucher box doesnt show up if they go straight to checkout and it confuses people, then they get upset because they cant find out where to put their discount codes.
Again THANK YOU for a great extention...... did I mention that I LOVE IT??? lol

Congratulations, friends!
OpenShop got the Final Release today. There is no new functions here, only tunes and fixes. One of the biggest news is full Right Text Languages support and full Arabic localization.
Have fun and leave your feedback.
