Test my beta site out, please.
Looking for problems. This is the Open Cart 1.5.2 based on the free Carbon theme, which I spent four days on products and two days on speeding it up, and a week on CSS changes. I have viewed this in IE 7 and 8, Chrome 17 , Safari 4 and 5, and Opera. http://www.metrodarts.net/store
THIS IS NOT A LIVE SHOP!
Look and feel are being testing here.
Are the colors appealing and complimentary?
Does the navigation take you places you should not go?
Are all elements visible and readable on your monitor/browser combination.
I know the cart preview cannot be seen, it will be solved though.
Thanks

Hey,
Site looks good. I just made a few remarks on an image to better explain what I mean.
Other than those two things, the site looks good.
Regards,
Joel.

I'm going to be honest with you.
You've just taken a supermodel (default theme) and got the l'oreal factory to explode on her face

Site looks good, but when you browse to information page, your footer expanded. Gotta check your div tags there.

Re: Test my beta site out, please.
a few words from a non pro!!
- hosting reasonably fast (night time, though)
- like the concrete look of the background, nice enlightening work ..but I can't think about any relationship to dart or golf
- descriptions are hard to read (the purple background is too dark for black text)
- logo Metro Darts is not good, can't read what's about it nor can see the name of it
- I do not like the font of the headings, influence of Portuguese / Romanian / Turkish ? typography, do you really need it ? What's the purpose of it ?

Re: Test my beta site out, please.
gotta laugh at the supermodel comment, geeez. To be honest back at you I did not want to look like other sites.
I have discussed the concrete background with the owner. It works for darts, but not for discs and I thought for discs we would go with a green theme, different backdrop.
Fonts- what a freekin learning experience about open cart that adventure is. Got the css file commented, more on the one I have. Fonts, fonts, fonts - yeah that Carbon template is industrial strength, can't break those fonts.
Logo is the first thing I put on the site. Never worked with oc before and somewhere at the beginning was a spot for the logo, I think that is store-edit-add logo here! The logo is easy to see, hmmm on his business card. That image at the top is just the front and back of the bcard.
good catch on the footer, thank you.
As to Google Chrome, would you mind telling me what resolution and color depth your monitor is set to? I see the fonts are distorted, but on my Chrome it does not look like that, curious....
Sorry I did not get back sooner but we moved this to a VPS and I am getting a crash course on being an admin. Now, there are permission problems, not unexpected since I have reinstalled this a couple of times now.

Re: Test my beta site out, please.
Just checked the fonts again on my home PC (Was on my work PC for the previous post), and unless you changed it everything looks fine.
It could have been the resolution settings of my side monitor (800X600).
Regards,
Joel.

Re: Test my beta site out, please.
Joel, thanks for looking again, but I did take your suggestion.
Given the world is filled with different graphic cards and monitors, I went ahead and changed the font. The template used a Google font named 'play', and I changed it to 'open-sans'. I then went through the CSS and got rid of the tags that made the text all-caps.
Thanks again.
