- Includes all bug fixes up to 2012-Apr-03
YOU WILL NEED TO RUN THE UPGRADE SCRIPT AFTER INSTALLING THE PATCH
1. Upload all files. Overwrite all. No config.php files to worry about
2. Goto http://yoursite.com/install/index.php
3. Click Upgrade
4. Go back to admin.
- If using the category module, it was disabled as part of the upgrade. Reenable it.
- If using the ups extension, it was disabled as part of the upgrade. Reenable it.
5. If using vQmod, reinstall it by going to http://yoursite.com/vqmod/install

See here how to upload files to your server.

If there are any bugs you can post them in this thread:
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 99#p257999

Order editing system (This took me 4 months to complete)
Integration with maxmind anti fraud system
Changed the cart page making it look a lot nicer integrating with reward points and coupons etc...
Added the ability to ban customers by IP.

CHANGED:

Altered the buttons so they are either real buttons or links depending on their function. before i just used css links and js. this was not the best way because it stopped people being able to hit return to submit forms.
Mass mail system has been changed so it can send out an unlimited numbers of mails. no need for mail chimp anymore.

FIXED:

Just about everything that was wrong with 1.5.1.3
Fixed a bug that stopped emails being sent on some systems.
Problem with product options displaying price when prices where only supposed to be displayed for logged in customers.
Reward point fix to stop points a customer pays with being removed when you
Remove points added to an order.
International shipping options are still displayed when a Uk shipping addres fix
Please refer to the bug tracker list for all the fixes done:

Yeah! Congrats on the release!

A few quick questions so I know what to expect before I upgrade since I have more than 20 stores active on oc. Trying to figure out best time to do it.

I will do a backup of course and expect to have to redo any modifications I made/have installed, but were there any template changes (from default template as that is what I use for most of my stores) that might make my stores not display once I make the upgrade? I am sure I'll have to retweak things but should I expect the stores to not work at all when I first make the switch or just not display 100% properly?

I guess what I'm wondering is are there any instructions as to the best way to upgrade with minimal downtime? What I was thinking was:

1. Backup everything
2. Put stores in maintenance mode
3. Do the upgrade and put stores off maintenance mode
4. Check each store and do test orders
5. Reinstall vqmod
6. Reinstall vqmods 1 by 1 checking stores after each one

Would love to hear suggestions as this will be my first major upgrade on opencart.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.2 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

I haven't yet gone live and am on localhost so could I...

Back up the database and my commercial template
Install new OC on localhost
Add template
import database

Or is it more complicated than that?

Im very new to any kind of cart software and all this has been a huge learning curve for me. Im not a coder either.
As a matter of fact, my store will be ready for opening in about 2 weeks. Right now I'm on ver 1.5.1.3.
I actually have the store almost done.
And now I need to think about ver 1.5.2.
So, if I may, ask a few questiong.
How hard is it to update? What should I expect?
What will happen to my installed mods, settings, layouts, products ......

TIA.
And, Anyone want to help me do the upgrade? ;D

Xtreme.

PS,
After reading the upgrade instructions, it seems like it may be an easy upgrade........key word is seems. LOL

you should do all upgrades on a test server after making a copy of you site before attempting the real thing.

also remember big company's do not upgrade if their sites are running fine.

Daniel & Team -

Thank you for all of your hard work! I've worked with a few other Licensed carts and so far, I'm much happier using your cart! Keep up the great work!
