Checkout: 3 Options PayPal Express, Google & Over the Phone?
Hi everyone,
I am trying to integrate three payment options on the checkout page. I have created a table and links but it doesn't look like professional and it confusing the customers.
Payment Options: I have three Payment options and they are PayPal Express, Google Checkout and Free Checkout (Payment over the phone later on time). I wanted three radio buttons 1) PayPal Express, 2) Google and 3) Free checkout. Please have a look at attached screen for exact what I have done and what I want.
I would be highly appreciated your input. I think I have to play around with payment.tpl file to make available those options. I am using OC Version 1.5.1.3.
Regards,

Re: Checkout: 3 Options PayPal Express, Google & Over the Ph
There is really no point in having Paypal Express on step 5. By that point, the customer has already entered their address or registered on your site. At that point you are better off using paypal standard.
Paypal Express and even Google Checkout are "Express" payments that are designed to bypass your stores existing registration so that the customer doesn't need to create an account or enter their address information.
So you'd be better off having your little box bar at the top of the checkout page. Then under that have a big
- OR -
Then have the normal checkout and offer the Over the phone and paypal standard options.

Re: Checkout: 3 Options PayPal Express, Google & Over the Ph
Hi Q,
Thank you for your response and suggestions. That really makes sense
about Express checkouts.
OK, I will have a Standard PayPal if somebody wanted to go through guest checkout and will leave Free checkout for phone payments.
Is it possible to have two or three Express Checkout button in same row? For example, if I am adding PayPal Express top of the checkout page and then Google second option then it takes a lot space and doesn't look sophisticated. Attaching a screen for the clear idea.
Once again thanks a lot.

Sure.. you could use the paypal express module for the container
then edit the catalog/view/theme/default/template/module/paypal_express_module.tpl file to add the additional buttons
Set the module to the content top area of the checkout layout.

Hi Q,
Thank you for the reply.
I have managed to add other two payment options as advised but then I have the same module on the homepage where it overlaps with other objects? See attached screen.
Thanks.

You will need to use some css magic.. similar to how the latest module works.. when it is on the left or right.. it shows things in a single column.. but when in the middle it shows them across.. that is just css wrapping

Re: Checkout: 3 Options PayPal Express, Google & Over the Ph
Hi Q,
Thanks for the advise. Can I have some reference or a link where I can get some CSS magic and how CSS wrapping works?
The way I know is to embed hard code in to the checkout.tpl page and embed PayPal Express, Google etc hard code. But that won't be appropriate.
I would be appreciated if you can help me referencing some CSS magic which I can use with this issue.
Thanks.
