Banners in multilanguage store

Postby psxgamer » Wed Nov 02, 2011 6:00 pm

I'm setting up a multilanguage OC store. The big problem is the banner in my storefront.

E.g. I want a banner to show FREE DELIVERY

How can I set it up so hat the banner shows in the same language as the visitor has chosen?

So: FREE DELIVERY when you choose for English

and: LIVRAISON GRATUIT when you choose French.

Ok put a new line in your english language php file for FREE DELIVERY and a new one in french for LIVRAISON GRATUIT... now add a get call in the controler php file and edit the template .tpl file to echo the text file called in the controler...

easy as

Good Luck

Thank you very much for the offer.

For the moment a friend of mine has made a multilanguage banner.

If there need to be a lot of modifications to the code, I'd rather leave it this way. I've had serious problems just with a small modification. Don't want it to happen again.

Hi Jeremy,

could this be done to get different images instead of texts? And what files (especially which controller) should be modified?

Thank you!
