I'm looking into taking credit cards for my soon be to OpenCart store. It looks like Paypal is between 2.2-2.9% + 30cents depending on if you do more of less than $10,000 a month. Authorize.NET charges 10cents per transaction but then delegates most of the fees to the merchant account.
Does anyone have experience with any merchant accounts that plug into Authorize.NET? How much do they usually charge, and what are the pros and cons of that approach as compared to Paypal? Seems like both Paypal Payments Pro and Authorize.Net charge a $20-30 monthly fee so that is a wash.
My site will be selling furniture so most transactions will be at least $500, though there will also be a decent number of small 'parts' transactions for $20-100. No clue how much volume we will be doing since we haven't launched yet.
