Re: [RELEASED] Make an Offer 151
Ok i got to look at it. I was wondering if this mod could work like a "Price Match".
LEts say a customer comes to my store looking for a product. He came to my store because i'm the only one advertizing at his mother language. But the price i have listed is higher than my competitors. I want that customer in my pocket so i want to offer him the chance to email me the link and info about the lower price he saw this very same product on another online store at a lower price. I the admin confirm that lower price and i'm able to offer him the same price.
So a button called "Price Match" or so beside/over/under the "add to cart" button would work.
Like this one but for compatible with 1.5.1.1 and at a better price
What ya think??

If the customer wants to point out that someone else is selling the item cheaper than you and wants to ask if you will price match, they can add this as a comment to their offer. After all, there is a comments field for just this sort of thing.

Re: [RELEASED] Make an Offer 151
Yeah actually your mod does it all but it eliminates the listed price.
It would be nice to still have the price listed and the "add to cart" button. You see some customers will never google-search for a lower price. They will just like my listed price and go ahead and buy my products right away at the listed price.
On the other hand ther is a larger volume of customer who will indeed get excited that my store accepts price match requests. So it's always good to have the best of both worlds.
I hardly see a webshop that will sell products with no Base Price listed but a bare "Make an offer" button. In that case i would rather list my products on an auction style software or even better list on eBay.
Your mod is good not saying it's not. For my taste and my application i would say it needs to be more visually interesting. To invite the customers to be confident to input a price match request. Thas't all.
The thing is every Web Shop from the big companies of "Autoparts" (at least) have a Match Price Mod.
So i think a Price Match mod will definitely be a must for almost any webshop.
There is not one outhere as of Today for 1.5.x version.
You could clone this "Make an Offer" mod of yours, do a few visual changes, probably one or two banners and come up with a Match Price Mod. Just my thoughts.

Id be happy if I could just get this thing to do what it does on your demo site. But no luck. Fido-X, your last email was not helpful. Could you please take a look at the site again?

Re: [RELEASED] Make an Offer 151
Thinking to buy this extension. Comments are not too good, but the demo seems to work so I wonder has anyone got it really working? I am using 1.5.1.3 version and default template.

Re: [RELEASED] Make an Offer 151
Update to this, it works up to 1.5.1.2 so I needed to install previous shop version to use this one.
Extension works fine and it was easy enough to install (after I notised that it requires vqmod to be installed!)
There comes no email support with this, so I hope everyone knows a bit of coding if there is need to get this modified in any way.

Will this work with 1.5.1.3 and Shoppica Theme? If so, what do I need to do. Any help would be great.

Has this mod died?? I keep finding best offer mods that dont appear to be supported any longer is there a reason for this??
