Option Tweak

Postby OneBadFlower » Wed Sep 19, 2007 4:29 am

Anyone think of a way to display the result of the attached jpg?

basically i'm trying to show shoe sizes.  the end result would look something like:
Size:
D: 7-13,14,15,16
2E: 7-13,14,15,16
4E: 7-13,14,15,16

the downer is that for each shoe the width "D" and the size "7-13,14,15,16" will be different.

the ideal situation would be in the option section there was the ability to select the Width then type in the sizes via a text field.  However i don't think i'm going to get that to happen.

also, i have modified the options field to take a short sentence of 254 characters or less and I need to keep that ability.
i'm thinking that i may need a simple if/else statement that says if option name = size, display this way.  if option name = technology, display this way. ect.

I'm 100% up for suggestions if anyone has one.  If anyone can make it happen let's talk to see what it would take to get it done.  AIM is best way to reach me or email.

thanks

Luv,  the problem is that i'd have to create a new element of the option each time there was a different shoe size combination.

the only thing constant in this is the size width: D, 2E, 4E  ect.

the actual sizes change and could be like:
D: 5-13,14,15,16
D: 7-11
D: 6.5-12.5,14,15,16

so with this example i'd need 3 different entries just for the D width.  now there are many more size combinations and about 6 different widths i have to deal with.  do the math, that's a lot of possible options to have to go through.  :)

that's why i want to select the width and then in a text field enter manually each time the sizes available.

make sense?

okay but once they are entered you can just reuse...

the option (data) already is just a text field  so im not sure what you want to put into a text field...

(hint Once you put in all the options for 1 size (d)  for example we can replicate them to other sizes...)
