Winmerge is nice because it shows the diffs in color sidebyside and lets you copy the changes out to an external folder which makes things like the 1.4.9to1.4.9.1 patch very easy
They are both terrific... but now I have to learn about regular expressions.

yes it does, but meld just looks better and makes the whole thing much more readable. It displays similar to what beyond compare does which is a nice program for windows, but it's paid.JNeuhoff wrote:KDiff3 does the job just fine on LinuxXsecrets wrote: well I've never used that one, but from looking at the screenshots winmerge is nicer for windows and my favorite is meld for linux.

Yes well for some reason WinMerge didn't update too well when I upgraded, so rather than do a lot of seeking and fixing I went looking for something that I could use on widows and came up with that DIFFMerge.Xsecrets wrote: well I've never used that one, but from looking at the screenshots winmerge is nicer for windows and my favorite is meld for linux.
KDIFF (windows), for me, doesn't seem to work the way that I think it should (and that has nothing to do with KDIFF), though I am sure once I figure it out I should be on a winner.
