Previously Purchased Items Sticking in Cart

We're having trouble with items that the customer purchased last still being in the cart when they go back to the cart the next time. It's resulting in people making incorrect purchases.

We have Mijoshop 3.2.1, so I'm not sure which OpenCart that corresponds with.

Advice would be great, but happy to pay for a qualified person to fix it.
